Luang Prabang Waterfall

Upon arrival at the airport, you will clear Visa processing, collect your luggage and pass through the exit where you will be greeted by our cheerful guide and driver displaying your name board. We will take the transfer to Luang Prabang for check-in. Please note that check-in time is at 14:00.  An early check-in can be requested but will depend on the hotel's availability and will attract a surcharge. You will have free time for discovering the city on your own before an overnight at your hotel. 

Luang Prabang is a charming city in North Central Laos with 58 small villages. No less than 33 of them are recognized as  World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. With the Royal Buddha Image, Luang Prabang is famous for a lot of Buddhist temples such as sumptuous Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai and spectacular attractive destinations including Kuang Si Waterfall and Pak Ou caves.

Our guide will pick you up after breakfast at your hotel. we will visit the highlighted sites of Luang Prabang. The National Museum will be the first place to visit. With many showrooms to display personal artifacts of the royal family, the museum will be an interesting place for you to learn more about the culture and life of Laos. You will visit the superb stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of WatAham and Wat Mai with it’s five impressively tiered roofs.

We will continue driving out of the town where we may stop to visit Khmu, Hmong and Lao Loum Villages where you will learn more about the of main ethnic groups of Laos.

After that, we take the drive to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Take your free time for taking beautiful photos or swimming in the clean and fresh water of the waterfall. 

A picnic lunch is served near the falls. We also have a chance to visit the Bear Rescue Centre where you will learn more how the about work of the staff here. You will be impressed by the work of protecting and rehabilitating the rare Asiatic Black Bear. We will return to Luang Prabang in the early afternoon. 

Our next destination today will be Mount Phousi. Climbing up you will have a chance for taking photos of the city spread out below. You will learn more about the Buddhist country of Laos with the gilded stupa there. That will be a good place for the sunset view of the city and Mekong River. From there, we will continue to the night market where you will find a wide collection of the handmade textiles for sale, made by the hill tribe people surrounding the town. 

We will go back to our car and transfer back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Our guide will pick you up after breakfast at your hotel. This morning we will enjoy a long-tailed boat trip along the river for about two hours to the sacred Pak Ou Caves - a holy spot for the Laos people. Along the way, that will be a great chance for you to learn more about the local life and enjoy the nature of the charming town. Reaching the caves, you will be impressed by the beauty of the cave inside the limestone cliff opposite the mouth of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers with hundreds of statues of Buddha, big and small, that have been left by devotees. We then visit the Ban Xanghai Village where the tasty local rice wine is produced.

We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the bank of the Mekong River. After we will return to Luang Prabang to explore Ban Xangkhong Village which is famous for its paper making and naturally dyed silk weavings. You will learn more about how to make the traditional paper for use and how to produce the silk with the legend of silk invention story from our guide. 

Go back to your hotel for overnight in Luang Prabang.

Have breakfast in our hotel and remainder of the day at your leisure. Then our driver will pick you up at your hotel (around 3 hours before your departure flight time) to transfer you to the airport for the flight home or other destination. End of Luang Prang 4 Day Tour in Laos.
