Welcome to Vietnam! Start your Vietnam Tour Package by taking your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be warmly greeted by your private tour guide and driver for the transfer to the city center for hotel check-in (Kindly be advised that the standard check-in time is at 14.00 so the early check-in is subject to the hotel availability). 

The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure. Your tour guide will be very happy to recommend you some excellent options for your preferred cuisine but we highly advise you to try HCM City cuisine for a true immersion experience.

Day 2 of this Vietnam 13 Day Tour you will visit Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City Tour

08.00 AM: Today, you will escape the metropolitan city of Ho Chi Minh City and journey northwest, towards the famous Cu Chi Tunnels which is a man-made underground maze of tunnels. The visit gives you the chance to learn more about the Vietnam War and the hardships faced by the locals living underground. If you are interested in, you may try to descend into the tunnels, the great way to gain a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during the time when locals struggle for independence. 

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, then, you will visit some of the city’s highlights, starting with the Reunification Hall, known as the former Presidential Palace which is a special national relic, famous for its historical and architectural value. In addition to that, we will also explore some other interesting attractions such as the War Remnants Museum, the Old Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market, a large marketplace in central Ho Chi Minh City. 

In the late afternoon, get back to your hotel and spend the evening time at your leisure to explore the city.

After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide and driver will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby. Today, you will be away from the hustle and bustle of Sai Gon to visit Ben Tre where a sleepy waterfront and dreamy pace provide a welcome retreat. Climb aboard a motorized river boat for a cruise along the Ham Luong river (a branch of the Mekong). En-route, stop at various local workplaces at the edge of the water to learn how local products are made, consisting of a brickwork where bricks are made in handy traditional style by printing and baking, a coconut processing workshop where handmade crafts and candies are produced from coconuts, as well as a mat weaving house where straw mats are woven using a hand loom, you can even try to weave yourself. 

Keep discovering a network of quiet village roads where you can have a short stroll to experience real Delta village life before you jump onto your Xe Loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) that transports you to a forest where you can visit fruit orchards. 

Have lunch at a riverside restaurant. Your delicious and filling lunch includes some local specialties such as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers.

This afternoon, explore the smaller waterways by row boat and take the boat back to the pier. Hop into your van and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. You will end your Southern Vietnam Tour today with the last night in Ho Chi Minh City.

 Activities: Cycle to the outskirt of Hoi An to Van Lang Fisherman Village and Bay Mau Water Coconut Forest, have lunch at a local family.

After breakfast at your hotel, saddle up and cycle with your guide to Van Lang Fisherman Village and Bay Mau Water Coconut Forest which is around 7 hectares of mangrove forest, canals, and houses covered in water coconut leaf. This stunning area used to be a local people and soldiers’ refuge during the Vietnam War but nowadays, it is famous for producing huge amounts of seafood products. It promises to be the scenic journey as you pass the paddy fields, Ba Le Market, kindergarten, and so much more.    

Reaching the village, you will be warmly greeted by a local man and his family which three generations of the family live together in the same house. Sit down to taste the green tea, then, free to walk around the village & make contact with locals. Next, you will take a cruise in a traditional basket boat, rowed by the skillful hands of the locals and learn their traditional fishing techniques within the water coconut forest.   

Return to the local family to enjoy a foot massage in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice which is the combination of local herbal remedy and Chinese traditional medicine in order to reduce your aches and pains, rheumatism. After that, you will be invited to help with the preparation of lunch which comprises many local dishes, such as “Tam Huu” spring rolls, “Banh Xeo” or local pancake, grilled fish in banana leaf, among many other Vietnamese delicacies.   

After eating, enjoy your free time and take a short break before cycling back to the town.

Day 8 of your Vietnam 13 Day Tour Itinerary, you will spend the full day to explore the tranquil Hue and its major landmarks. That will be a good day for you to learn about Vietnam history and know more about this important land of Vietnam.

Commence your full day tour with floating down the peaceful Perfume River by Dragon Boat, make a quick stop en-route, get off the boat to explore the iconic seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda, a special cultural - historical site which still preserves a legendary tale about the Heaven Fairy Lady since Nguyen Dynasty. Next, proceed to visit the Imperial City of Hue, one of Vietnam’s Seven UNESCO World Heritage Site, including The Citadel and The Forbidden City to learn about the history of the ancient capital of Vietnam.

Following with a visit to the Forbidden Royal City is a vegetarian lunch which will be cooked by the nuns at a Buddhist monastery, giving you a great opportunity to interact with them and learn more about Buddhism. 

After lunch, we continue on to the city’s outskirts to visit the final resting places of the Emperor under Nguyen Dynasty, Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb which allows you to learn more about Nguyen Kings, as well as enjoy the spectacular landscape. 

Hop in your car to return to your hotel. Stay overnight in Hue.

After breakfast, you will start your story of Hanoi City Tour with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday, every afternoon and from late September until December), seeing a long queue of the visitors all around Vietnam coming to express their admiration and gratitude towards the common father of Vietnamese. From there, stroll around the surrounding areas of the complex to explore the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. Leaving the resting place of President Ho Chi Minh, we continue to visit the picturesque Temple of Literature (Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam) which was the site of Vietnam's first university. The 11th-century temple nowadays is used as a holy place for students to visit before their examinations or before graduating.  

After lunch at a local restaurant, we proceed to explore one of the museums in Hanoi before watching the famous Water Puppet Show. Take a walk around Hanoi Old Quarter, then, enjoy the street food dinner with your tour guide to sample some renowned street dishes in Hanoi. The tour concludes with the drop-off at your hotel at around 18.30 – 19.00. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Upon reaching Cat Hai Port, you will be welcomed aboard the traditional wooden junk, followed by a welcome drink and a stunning local seafood lunch onboard. You will leave the mainland far behind as your boat cruises into the charming Lan Ha Bay featuring hundreds of small and large islands which create an enormous picture depicting the scene. 

After lunch, you may join in some onboard activities like kayaking around the limestone islets, going for a refreshing swim, as well as exploring the fishing farm and socializing with fishermen to know more about local life at the fishing village. Back on board the junk, join in the Vietnamese cooking demonstration from the on-board chefs before enjoying the lavish dinner in the dining room which is the perfect atmosphere for you to socialize with other guests.
