After a kayaking excursion on the canals of Hoi An, gazing at the gently swaying palm leaves that flank their sides and the trove of fishing activity taking place in the iconic basket boats, we relax into the evening at our wonderful floating bar. You will receive one can of either beer or coke, selected by you during the booking process, as well as one fruit smoothie, one mineral water and the rare opportunity to enjoy the privacy afforded by the tranquility of the waters on which we sit. Itinerary

Activities: Riding along village roads, kayaking along Hoi An’s river and relaxing at our floating bar before heading back to Hoi An via car.

We set out from your hotel at 15.00 pm by either a US military Jeep or bicycle, depending on your preference.

We head down beautiful village roads alongside farms and rice paddies, where farmers work hard in the mid-afternoon sun. We stop at various points to enjoy the sights of the shrimp farms and the fishermen who ply the waters around them, visiting local villages on the way.

We climb into our kayaks and paddle into the world of fishermen, where happy anglers toss their nets into the waters in the hopes of pulling up fruitful hauls. We cruise serenely past the nipa palm and mangrove plants that guard the riverbanks from flooding, creating the idyllic scene of tropical Vietnam as they do so.

We are greeted by the sight of our floating bar, housed on a large coracle boat. We board the boat and enjoy the beverage that you selected during the booking process, along with one included fruit smoothie and one included mineral water. There is always the option to buy further drinks at the bar, so it would be a good idea to bring some extra cash. Relax into the evening in style as the sunset casts long and beautiful waving shadows beneath the lush vegetation around us.

Our final activity before heading back to Hoi An is to light the candle of a floating lantern, make a wish and send it down the river, just as the Vietnamese do for the new lunar year.
