Overview

The diverse religion, history and natural splendor of Ninh Binh come together in this Trang An – Bai Dinh Full Day Tour offered by Incredible Asia Journeys. We visit the huge temple complex of Bai Dinh, 700 hectares worth of religious buildings that stands as the largest in the country. Much of the complex is new, being built as recently as 2015, but the pagoda at the bottom of the Ba Rau Hills on which the stone steps ascend was constructed long ago.

After this, we head to Trang An, the UNESCO World Heritage site where visitors can take a local sampan boat ride down the peaceful river, surrounded by Vietnam’s natural karst mountains. Itinerary

Activities: Explore the gigantic religious Bai Dinh Pagoda and take a boating trip among limestone cliffs, wild forest, rice paddies in Trang An.

8:00 AM: Your private car will pick you up at your hotel to begin your Trang An – Bai Dinh Full Day Tour from Hanoi.

10:30 AM: Our first stop will be the gigantic religious compound of Bai Dinh, with its old pagoda and newly built neighboring complex. We will spend about an hour and a half here soaking up the impressive architecture of the temples and admiring the bronze depictions of Buddha and various mythical animals throughout.

12:00 PM: We will have lunch at a local restaurant featuring some particular specialties from the Ninh Binh region.

13:15 PM: We head to the Trang An grottoes after lunch and float serenely down its waters with the help of a local rower. The 2.5-hour boat trip skims the water in between steep limestone cliffs topped with wild forest, with many rice paddies and drooping reeds flanking the side of the river.
