Welcome to Laos! Upon arrival at the Vientiane International Airport, our tour guide will greet you and escort you to the hotel. Hotel check-in is at 14:00 an earlier time can be arranged by prior agreement and payment of surcharge enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Vientiane is translated as The Sandalwood City, it is the capital city and the largest city in Laos. Renowned for its French Colonial architecture and is located on the majestic Mekong River. The That Luang is the most significant national monument in Laos, the symbol of Laos in general and an icon of Buddhism in Laos in particular. Here is also popular for magnificent and old Buddhist temples such as Haw Phra Kaew, formerly put up the Emerald Buddha. Stay overnight at the hotel in Vientiane.

 Activities: Discover highlights of Vientiane as Wat Sisaket, Haw Phra Kaeo, market, golden statue of Pha That Luang and Patuxai Monument before flying to Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, we first visit the highlights of the Capital City Wat Sisaket the oldest temple in Vientiane with over 6000 Buddha images. Here is preserved thousands of silver and porcelain images in the glorious temples like visiting the Vientiane at a glance in the past. 

Nearby is Haw Phra Kaew once the royal temple of the Laotian monarchy, it is a vast temple with a beautiful interior and exterior, it contains some of the finest Buddha sculptures and artifacts in Laos.

Arrange your own lunch then we visit market before we explore Phra That Luang Stupa which was built in 1566 by King Sethtathirat and is considered the national symbol once containing the relics of Lord Buddha.

We then visit the most photographed places in Vientiane Putousay The victory gate also known as Anousavari constructed in 1958 inspired by The Arc De Triumph.

In the late afternoon, we will head to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang.

Upon arrival and transfer to hotel in Luang Prabang. The remainder of the day is at own arrangements. Stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

 Activities: Visit most popular sites of Luang Prabang such as Wat Visoun, Wat Mai, relax in Kuang Si Falls and explore a local village on the way. Climb up to Mount Phousi for the sunset view of Mekong River and the charming city.

Optional: Take Bat ceremony (an extra cost will be provided upon requested)

Rise early to the sound of the temple gong and witness the impressive daily ritual of hundreds of young monks walk silently to collect sticky rice and other foods in their bronze bowls. The ritual is linked to a Buddhist tradition in which the monks beg for food as a way of demonstrating humility. Ask your guide if you would like to be involved in the offering of food as a way to demonstrate humility. The time suggested is at 5.00 am.

Monks will walk in long silent processions searching for offerings. Giving alms an important religious act in Buddhism and it must be carried out respectfully by locals and tourists alike. If you would like to be involved in the offering of food, your guide will be more than happy to show you the best way to interact with monks. Watch as the monks disappear down the road in a long, saffron-colored ribbon. Feel free to take photos, however, please use discretion and refrain from using your flash.  

Continue to explore many of the former royal capital's cultural highlights. We will go ahead to visit Wat Visoun – rare structure as the earliest Lao style before moving forward to visit Wat Mai, the largest and most affluently decorated of the temples in Luang Prabang, located nearby Royal Palace. 

We then depart for Kuang Sii Waterfalls which is approximately one hour from town, we pass through the scenic Laotian countryside with rice paddies and many ethnic minority villages along the way. We then arrive at Kuang Sii Waterfall and take a refreshing dip.

It is possible to stop and visit the Khmu minority village of Ban Thapaene, or one of the H’mong villages along the journey. Upon arrival the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, there is time to take a refreshing dip in the falls, in case of water levels permit. 

There will be opportunities to take photographs of falls as the water cascades over many tiers and down hundreds of feet to the pool below.

Our next destination today will be Mount Phousi. Climbing up you will have a chance for taking nice photos and sunset view of the city and Mekong River. You will enjoy the exploration of the sacred gilded stupa of Laos. That will be a good place for the sunset view of the city and Mekong River. We will then continue on the night market housing a wide collection handmade textiles.

We will go back to our car and transfer back to the city for the overnight.

Pak Ou caves

 Activities: Take a boat trip along the Mekong River, explore the Pak Ou Caves then visit Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek Villages.

Collected from your hotel we will visit Vat Xieng Thong one of the largest and most decorated temples in the Royal City - one of the most significant of Lao monasteries and preserves an important monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art. 

We travel by boat for two hours on the Mekong River and explore the Pak Ou Caves long consider a holy place for the Lao people, the caves are home to hundreds of statues to Buddha. Along the way, you will stop at riverside villages to see weavers working on ancient looms, we then visit Ban Xang Hai to learn about Lao Whiskey and Lao Wine. We then stop for lunch at a local restaurant and paid for by yourselves, the driver will then take you to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglex which is renowned for its handmade Jute Sar paper You then continue to Luang Prabang for the overnight stay.

 Activities: Free time until transferring to the airport for flying home.
