Arrive in Hanoi, our insider‘s guide will pick you up from Noibai Airport and transfer you to the city center. You will receive a warm welcome from our friendly tour guide and can enjoy an easy stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, the centerpiece of the city.
There is a legend that nationalist hero Emperor Le Loi borrowed a magic sword from the Golden Turtle to defeat aggressive enemies. After achieving victory, Le Loi returned the magic sword back Golden Turtle and renamed the lake “ The Lake of the Returned Sword”. It surrounds Ngoc Son Temple ( Temple of the Jade Mountain was built on the Jade Islet). Leading from the shore to islet is The Huc Bridge ( or The Red Bridge )- the place that locals believe is the first place to welcome sunlight of the day. Additionally, you will see the unique features and sacred symbols of national literature and the incredible knowledge of talented people: Thap But (Pen Tower) and Dai Nghien (Ink Slab) were both built with stones.
In the afternoon, our friendly tour guide will walk with you to the water puppet theater right in the center of Hoan Kiem Lake. The Day 2 of your Vietnam 7 Day Tour, you will visit Hanoi City Tour.
We will start the full day Hanoi City Tour by visiting all of the must-see destinations for the tour in Hanoi. Starting by having breakfast in your hotel, our tour guide will come to the hotel lobby and pick you up at around 8:30. First, we will head to Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday and every afternoon), the Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda or Dien Huu Pagoda, has one of the most special architectures in Vietnam. You will absolutely have an unforgettable experience by seeing the long queue of visitors showing their respects at the mausoleum to see the body of Uncle Ho (Ho Chi Minh)-The Greatest Vietnamese President. Next, we will drive about 10 minutes to visit the Temple of Literature – the first University in Vietnam that was conducted in 1070 under Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty in order to honor the Confucius and nowadays to celebrate the doctorates and high-rank scholars of Vietnam.
Next is a lunch break, then in the afternoon, we will have a chance to visit one of the most highlighted museums - Vietnam Military History Museum, Fine Arts Museum, Hoa Lo Prison (as known as Hanoi Hilton – nicknamed by U.S pilots during the American war) or the Ethnology Museum to learn about the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.
Finishing your Hanoi City Tour, it is time for you to relax and have dinner on your own.
At around 20:30, you will be escorted by our tour guide to Hanoi Railway Station for a night train to Sapa. The overnight train will be a good way for doing Sapa tours from Hanoi.

Upon arrival to Lao Cai around 05:00, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer to Sapa Town by private car (estimated 35 km ). Along the way, there are is beautiful scenery of mountain ranges for you to take photos. You will have breakfast in Sapa town before starting our Sapa trekking tour to Lao Chai and Tavan Villages which are the Highlights of North Vietnam to visit the ethnic minorities who live in these local villages including Black H’Mong in Lao Chai and Zay hill tribes only live in Ta Van Village( If the room is available in the morning, we can check in for a rest after the night train to Sapa). We will have a chance to trek along local paths and enjoy the wonderful view of the terraced rice paddy fields on the way. Lao Chai- Ta Van Villages are located in Muong Hoa Valley – one of the most spectacular villages which will offer you the gorgeous panorama views facing the river and backed by the mountains. Lao Chai and Tavan Village always attract tourists and is the most attractive destination for Sapa Tour. Activities: Discovering the most favorite destinations in Sapa – Cat Cat and Ma Tra Villages before coming back to Hanoi by train.
Today will be the last day for your tour in Sapa. You will have an opportunity to learn about their living by growing rice and corn on terraced fields, make traditional handicrafts or cotton cultivation and unique fabrics. After spending time here, we will transfer to another local village which is not so touristic named Ma Tra Villages. This is one of a few villages that have a silent terrace valley and less commercial track in Sapa. There are nearly 50 homes living here and most of them are the H’ Mong tribe minority people. We may visit the small primary school in the village to meet little children here and have an overall view of their culture and customs. They earn their living by using their craft such as carving silver, weaving brocade, silk and some make decorated cloth to sell on the main street in the center of Sapa.
We will head back to Sapa for lunch and you can feel free to do foot massage after your Sapa trekking or do shopping around before taking a ride to Lao Cai Station and catch the train back to the charming Hanoi.

Activities: Heading to Halong Bay and enjoy the overnight cruise trip
Today you will visit Halong Bay - The most highlighted destination in your Vietnam 7 day Tour. You will arrive to Hanoi at around 05:00 am by night train from Sapa. You will take a rest and shower then have a breakfast in the hotel before our Halong Bay 2 Night Cruise. At 08:00, our tour guide will come to pick you up then we start 3.5 hours drive from the city center to Halong Bay. There are several local Northern Vietnamese villages and towns along the way. It’s time for you to take some beautiful photos of the terrific rice-paddy fields or just the scenery of the outstanding landscape here. We will have 30 minutes for a short break in the middle of the journey.
Upon arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, you will embark on the overnight cruise to begin our relaxing trip. After briefing some general information about the trip, your delightful lunch will be served on the cruise ( we have different options for you if you are vegetarian or if you have any special request ). You will have a chance to see the marvelous scenery with thousands of limestone mountains. Our first destination will be Sung Sot Cave ( Amazing Cave ), one of the most spectacular and largest grottoes of Halong. It is an opportunity to visit a giant and magnificent cave, decorated with colorful chandeliers and plenty of rocks similar in shape to an elephant, horse or flowers, etc. In the afternoon, we will head to Ti Top Island for hiking mountain.
After that, we will return to the cruise and enjoy the outstanding panoramic views of Halong in the stunning sunset with cocktails before dinner.
