Day 2 of your Siem Reap to Halong Bay trip will be one of the most highlighted days in your trip.
After a refreshing night’s sleep, we depart from your hotel in the early morning (at approximately 7 am). Commence your tour of highlighted temples in Siem Reap with the picturesque Ta Prohm, but is better known as the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple due to its prominent showing in the famous Lara Croft movie. The jungle-covered temple evokes feelings that you may never forget when you witness the scene that it is surrounded by the magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple. Leaving the fabulous ruins, your next stop is the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat. Marvel at the fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art stretching around the temple.
After having lunch in the local restaurant, we continue to explore another highlighted temple - Angkor Thom or “Great City”. While there, the line of 54 divinities and demons that create a dramatic, charming spectacle beside the road will certainly fascinate you. Following is the visit to the enchanting Bayon Temple which is well-known for the large faces carved into the temples. Day 3 of Siem Reap to Halong Bay tour you will visit the rural area and the floating village in Tonle Sap Lake.
Depart after breakfast accompanied by your guide and head to a beautiful village in the rural area. Commence your journey today with strolling through the village houses, giving you the chance to observe the daily life’s nice and different activities of locals.
