Through visits to My Tho Town, Tan Thach Village, a fruit plantation, a honeybee farm and many other attractions, you will get a glimpse of life in the rich culture and vibrant beauty of the Mekong Delta. The Mekong has been the home of the Vietnamese and several hill tribes for centuries because of the ideal living conditions created by its plentiful sea life, abundant fruit trees and fertile soil.

Itinerary

Activities: Cruise along the river to explore some famous islands in Mekong River and visit a honeybee farm and a coconut candy workshop. After that, we will cycle around Tan Thach Village to experience the local life before turning back to Ho Chi Minh City

07.15 – 08.15 AM: We will collect you from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and take you to My Tho for your Mekong Delta Day Trip. My Tho is a town in the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, we will board a traditional sampan boat and begin cruising along the river, keeping our eyes out for the famous Tortoise, Phoenix, Unicorn and Dragon islands.

The day trip to Melkong Delta will continue with Unicorn Island, we take in the sights of tropical fruit orchards down the country lanes, visiting a lush fruit plantation and listening to beautiful and local folksong music.

Back onto the water, we row through the Thoi Son Canal, absorbing the shaded views of the verdant countryside with small family businesses on each bank. A trip to a honeybee farm and a chance to try honey tea will be followed by a look around a coconut candy workshop.

We will break for lunch around midday at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will cycle down country roads and visit the local villagers of Tan Thach to get a feel for daily life out here in the Mekong. For anyone not up for the cycling, you can relax in a hammock with a drink.

About 17.30: We return to Ho Chi Minh City after the full day where your Mekong Delta Day Trip will end. Thanks for choosing us as your tour operator for this trip; we hope to see you again soon!
