 Activities: Hanoi arrival; Cyclo tour through the renowned Old Quarter; Water Puppet Show; Welcome dinner.

Welcome to Hanoi. You will start your Vietnam 15 Day Tour by arriving in Hanoi.

You will be greeted by your guide, happily displaying your name board, and ready to transfer you to the hotel. This transfer normally takes around 45 minutes by bus. Please note that check-in time is at 14:00.  An early check-in can be requested but will depend on the hotel's availability and will attract a surcharge.

This afternoon, your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a cyclo tour around the Old Quarter. The Old Quarter has 36 different streets with the name of each street vividly reflecting the kind of merchandise it sells.  In the late afternoon, we will learn more about local culture by enjoying a traditional Water Puppet Show. 

Finally, experience the local cuisine at one of Hanoi’s famous restaurants before your guide transfers you back to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

 Activities: Visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex including HCM Presidential Palace; HCM Mausoleum; One Pillar Pagoda; and Temple of Literature (one of the beloved museums in Hanoi); Walking tour of the Old Quarter.

Day 2 of your Vietnam 15 Day Tour will give you the introduction about Hanoi City.

First stop of the city tour is the Ho Chi Minh Complex.  You will visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where the corpse of Uncle Ho (Ho Chi Minh) is kept for people to visit and pay their respects.  Nearby is Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilts where the great president, Uncle Ho, led a simple life. We continue to the One Pillar Pagoda which is one of the two most iconic Buddhist Temples in Vietnam. Next, we will visit the Temple of Literature, (the first University of Vietnam, and now used as a holy place for students to visit before their examinations or before graduating. 

Enjoy lunch at KOTO restaurant near the Temple of Literature. KOTO stands for Know One, Teach One. It has trained thousands of students in hospitality from all over Vietnam. 

After lunch, you have the choice of visiting Hoa Lo Prison, (sarcastically known to American prisoners of war as the "Hanoi Hilton") or the Museum of Ethnology. Hoa Lo Prison has a lot of different rooms, with original equipment, showcasing the life of Vietnamese political prisoners during the French colonial period including the guillotine room. The Museum of Ethnology is widely acknowledged as the best in the country, with an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority people.

Finally, we will walk around the Old Quarter to gain a better understanding of life in Hanoi’s Centre and the opportunity to taste the local beer before returning to the hotel.

 Activities: Transfer 5 hours by car to Sapa; Visit the H’Mong village of Cat Cat.

Your Vietnam 15 Day Tourwill be not enough if we miss a light trekking in Sapa – the mountainous area in the North of Vietnam. 

07.30 AM: This morning your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and head along the highway to Sapa.  It takes around 5 hours by car including a break. We will arrive in Sapa around 1:00 pm and have lunch before checking into the hotel. Sapa is a mountainous area with spectacular views. After check-in time, we will visit the village of Cat Cat where the H'Mong tribe, minority people are living to learn about local life.

We will visit the waterfall in Cat Cat Village and visit the Hydro Power plant built by the French many years ago. You will have a chance to see the local music show before returning to your hotel.  Overnight in Sapa.

 Activities: Visit more breathtaking villages: Muong Hoa and Ta Van; Enjoy a scenic walk through the tranquil rice terraces towards the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai; Return trip to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we will take you to the Muong Hoa Valley for a scenic walk, through the tranquil rice terraces, towards the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai. Marvel at the cascading paddy fields that cling to the mountainside and take in one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking views. Next, we will move to the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van of the Giay minority to learn about their daily life. 

We will have a lunch at a local house before the 5-hour drive back to Hanoi.  Overnight at our hotel in Hanoi.

 Activities: Transfer to the UNESCO listed Halong Bay – one of 7 Natural Wonders of the World .

Today will visit one of the most amazing places in the world and that will be the most interesting place in your 2 week itinerary in Vietnam Tour.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for the 4-hour drive to start your Halong Bay 2 day 1 night cruise.  We will be heading through the Red River Delta, where you will have many opportunities to take photos of rural areas of Vietnam where farmers toil on colorful paddy fields. Upon arrival, you will board a traditional Vietnamese boat and cruise overnight to the far-most corners of the bay. 

Once onboard the Halong Bay Cruise, you will enjoy lunch as you cruise out into the bay, stopping to anchor for an afternoon of activities (which are subject to change due to cruise selection and weather conditions).

After lunch, you may choose to visit the spectacular underground caves on the islands.  Please note that some climbing up and down steps inside and outside of the caves are required. Spend the rest of the day on deck with a drink in hand to watch the sunset over the bay. This will be followed by a freshly prepared dinner before retiring to your cabin for the night. Dinner is served on board. 

In the evening it is time to join in on a bit of squid fishing or relax on the top deck among the thousands of breathtaking islands in the bay. Stay overnight on our cruise.

Rise early to catch the impressive sunrise over the limestone karsts from the sundeck. Sink your teeth into some breakfast before setting off on a day boat to discover more sites in Halong Bay. Afterwards, you may choose to do some kayaking or swimming amongst the small islands which are inaccessible to the large boat or relax on the boat enjoying a cocktail or two whilst taking photographs. 

Upon return to our day boat, we will enjoy lunch before cruising to different parts of Halong Bay.  We will then return to our overnight cruise ship in time for dinner. Tonight you will have another night on Halong Bay in our Halong Bay 3 Days 2 Nights.

Finish your 1 week of you 2 week Vietnam Tour, today we will visit Hue, the Vietnamese capital during the Nguyen Dynasty, and its ruins of a regal past which can still be seen inside the Citadel and the Imperial City. First, we will visit the Toa Kham Boat Station to enjoy a coffee before a 45-minute Dragon Boat ride on the romantically named Perfume River. Along the way, we will visit Thien Mu pagoda and Tiger Arena & Trumpeting Elephant. Next is Emperor Tu Duc’s tomb, the longest reigning monarch and one of the most impressive Royal Tombs of the Nguyen dynasty.

Continuing on we visit some traditional Incense villages before having lunch at Thien Tam, a well-known Vietnamese restaurant.  Renown for having the best vegetarian food in Hue, you can watch an artist finish an amazing painting in just 5 minutes whilst savoring a delicious meal.

After lunch, it is time to visit Khai Dinh Tomb - a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. It is located on a steep hill outside of the capital city of Hue. We continue on a tour of the Imperial City, a UNESCO listed site. It has a walled palace within the citadel of the city and showcases a plethora of historical monuments, imperial tombs, and pagodas. Finally, we return to your hotel.

 Activities: Passing Lang Co Beach and Hai Van Pass – the longest pass in central of Vietnam.

After breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will transfer you to Hoi An. The four-hour trip hugs the coastline along the North Pacific Ocean with breathtaking views particularly as the road winds its way up Hai Van Pass or what we locals call “Pass of the Clouds”. Have your camera ready as we stop to take some amazing photos at the quaint fishing village at Lang Co Beach.

After arrival and check in at your hotel the rest of the day is free. Take the chance to visit the beach. Tonight you can walk around the charming town for a spot of shopping or taste the delicious street food Hoi An has to offer. Stay overnight in Hoi An.

 Activities: Enjoy a great day out in a local community, the farming project just outside of Hoi An. Become a farmer in Tra Que Village and enjoy some yummy local dishes.

Start with a short bike ride, of about 30 minutes, along with village roads and small paths between the paddy fields. Stop at Tra Que Village where the community has come together to create a large vegetable farm. Take a walk around the farm to see the different vegetables that are grown all organically.  Learn the traditional methods the farmers use to plant, fertilize and harvest the crop, then try your hand at raking the ground and sowing seeds. After toiling away in the garden, be rewarded with a herbal footbath and massage.

Your lunch will be served following a short cooking demonstration featuring the delicious vegetables straight from the farm to the plate.  Featured are many tasty, local delicacies including spring rolls, Banh Xeo (local pancakes of the people of central Vietnam). You can join the chef creating these meals and learn how to harvest and wrap the vegetables.

After lunch, we will take a trip up the river to view the fishing life of Hoi An before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

 Activities: A 45 minutes transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang Airport for the flight to Saigon.

This morning is at your leisure.  2 hours prior to your departure time, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Saigon (as we locals call it but formally named Ho Chi Minh City).

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, your driver will greet you with a name board and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. 

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam by population. It is well known for its tall buildings, many entertainment areas, and its shopping centres. Ask your guide to tell you some of the tales that reflect its vivid history and culture. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

 Activities: Visit Long Tan Battle Field to learn more about the history of the Vietnam War.

Our Vietnam 15 Day Tour destination today will be special. Take a 2 hours transfer heading southeast of Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria, a picturesque town in the Vung Tau Province along the southern coast.  As we head towards nearby Long Tan Village we encounter the Long Tan Cross which was re-built for soldiers in the battle of Long Tan in 1966 by Australian servicemen. After paying our respects we visit the former site of the Long Tan Battlefield, an integral part of Australia’s history in the Vietnam War. 

We also visit the former site of the Australian army base of Nui Dat.  This was the major operational base for Australian armed forces involved throughout the Vietnam War and became known as the SAS hill.

After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant in Ba Ria, we will return to your hotel in Saigon around 16.00. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
