Tam Coc boat trip
Activities: Participate in the group tour for full day to Ninh Binh to explore Hoa Lu – the ancient capital & take the boat trip in Tam Coc.
Have breakfast in your hotel before enjoying one of the best day trips from Hanoi to Hoa Lu Tam Coc.
Start the day with 8.00am – 8.30am pickup in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, followed by a 2-hour drive through the lush countryside to Ninh Binh.
Upon arrival, you will visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital of Vietnam, and the remaining two temples dedicated to King Dinh & King Le. You will learn more about the history of Vietnam dating back a thousand years, and why this area was chosen for the capital of Vietnam. Then, you will proceed to Tam Coc (16km from Hoa Lu) where you will have a lavish buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will an interesting experience with a sampan boat in Tam Coc, famous as “Halong Bay on land”. The 2-hour boat ride offers you endless photo opportunities. Your boat will go through the Tam Coc caves and you will be so excited of how the rower can control the boat in an easy way by hands or feet. When you return to the dock, take a short break before cycling for approximately 45 minutes along country lanes to enjoy the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields and discover the real countryside of Vietnam.
Afterwards, you get on the shuttle bus for the return to Hanoi City Center around 18.00. The full-day tour concludes with drop-off at your Hanoi hotel. Have dinner on your ơn and have free time for exploring the city. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

07.30 – 08.00: Our driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and we will transfer to Got Harbor in Hai Phong city.
10.00 – 10.30: Embark the Escape Sails Day Cruise and enjoy a welcome drink from our staffs. You will have a short briefing with the crew about itinerary and safety instruction and your Halong Bay luxury cruise begins.
12.00: You will have lunch in the dining room while cruising and observe the beautiful landscape of Halong surrounded by many limestone walls and islets through the window.
14.30: The Escape Sails Cruise takes you to visit Dark and Bright Caves. Here you will have 2 options:
- Jump on a sampan boat rowed by locals to see the silent lagoon encircled with limestone walls, showing us why Halong Bay became one of the natural wonders of the world
- Do kayaking through the small tunnel of Bright Cave and enjoy the fresh air here
15.30: Return to your boat and spend the rest of one day trip in Halong with our cooking class and fruit carving demonstration on the sundeck. Afterward, relax yourself with an afternoon tea break.
17.30 – 17.45: We set sail back to the harbor during the time for sunset. We check out of Escape Sails Cruise and head back to Hanoi on a luxury bus.
