Explore Hanoi To Halong

You will begin your Best of Vietnam 5 Day Tour by arriving Hanoi, the Capital City of Vietnam. 

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport, your private tour guide will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name on for the transfer to the center of Hanoi for hotel check-in. Kindly be advised that the check-in time is at 14.00, but the early check-in is upon your request with a surcharge.  

Take your time to relax after the long flight before being picked up for a Cyclo Tour around the bustling Hanoi Old Quarter. It is a very good chance to explore and take some stunning photos of the small streets in Hanoi. Next, you will enjoy the interesting Water Puppet Show which is one of the unique traditional arts not only in Vietnam but also in the World. Day 2 of this Vietnam 5 Day Tour, you will visit the most popular destinations in Hanoi City.

After breakfast, you will commence the Hanoi City Tour with Ho Chi Minh Complex - the most solemn place in Hanoi. The complex comprises Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday, from October through November annually), the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts and the 11th century One Pillar Pagoda. Leaving the resting place of Ho Chi Minh, proceed to explore the first university of Vietnam - the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature. The graceful temple is the spot where thousands of candidates come praying for good luck in the university entrance exam every year.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to visit one of the famous museums in Hanoi. Amongst many different museums in the town, you can choose to discover the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) which has an extensive display, both indoor and outdoor to learn more about the outstanding characteristics of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.    

Afterwards, your tour guide will walk with you through the Old Quarter - the heart of the capital, with 36 always-busy ancient streets. Venture to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Get back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Hanoi.

After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, we depart from Hanoi City Center and head to the seaside port of Halong Bay. The 4-hour journey offers you uncountable photo opportunities as you pass through several northern Vietnamese towns and villages. Upon reaching the jetty at midday, you will board a traditional wooden junk. After the welcome drink and check-in formalities, you will enjoy a stunning local seafood lunch onboard whilst the boat leisurely cruises into the mystical bay. 

After lunch, your cruise will transfer you to an island. While there, you may climb to the summit for a panoramic view of Halong Bay and go swimming in the emerald water. Otherwise, you may sunbathe on the boat’s sundeck to enjoy the tranquility of the bay. Then, you may get off the cruise to kayak among the hidden areas of the bay which the big boat is unable to reach. Back on board, you may join in the on-board chef’s cooking demonstration before having a lavish dinner in the dining room. This evening, you can enjoy the experience of night fishing for squid, and socializing with other guests over drinks. Afterwards, retire to your cabin for a good night’s sleep to get energy for another day on the cruise.

Start off your day on Halong Bay cruise with a morning tai chi class whilst the sun rises over the bay. After taking the exercises on the top deck, get to the restaurant for the delicious breakfast. Leaving the boat, you will have one more chance to kayak on the smooth and warm waters of Halong Bay to discover the further corners which are not able to be accessed by the larger boats, including a cave.

Enjoy fresh seafood lunch on board whilst the boat cruises back to the dock. Take the final glimpse of the world-famous bay before saying goodbye to the cruise staffs for ending the best time in your Vietnam trip and getting back to the harbor where your guide and driver will be waiting for you for the transfer to Hanoi for your last night in Hanoi. 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then have free time at your leisure in the city. You may walk around and explore a bit more in Hanoi, or just relax in the hotel. After that, our driver will pick you up for the transfer to the airport for the flight home or to the next destination.
