Ba Trai Dao Beach

Overview

Ba Trai Dao Beach is a beautiful and pristine beach in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay. With white sand, it is an ideal beach for swimming and relaxing on your holiday. Ba Trai Dao Beach is chosen in the itinerary of some cruises in Halong Bay and cruises in Lan Ha Bay. 

Ba Trai Dao Islet (Three Peaches Islet) is a group of 3 limestone islets having shapes like three peaches so local people call it Ba Trai Dao or There Peaches Islet.

Thanks to the crystal-like water there, travelers can enjoy swimming there much better than any other beaches in Halong Bay. That is a good place when you go on a vacation with children and family. Your children can play on a nice sandy beach there.

Legend of Ba Trai Dao Beach

When you are in Vietnam or Asia, you may listen to a lot of legends like the legend of Halong Bay and Ba Trai Dao has a legend.

The legend has it that, once upon a time, there was a fairy who fell in love with a poor fisherman. The fairy who was the youngest daughter of God stolen  3 peaches from heaven for her bellowed fisherman because she wanted him to be immortal with her forever. The God noticed and he got angry and turned 3 peaches into 3 stone mountains there in Halong Bay. Therefore, local people named them 3 Peaches Islet or Ba Trai Dao.

What To Do In Ba Trai Dao

Ba Trai Dao Beach is far from Halong City and it is less touched by tourists because most of Halong Bay 1 day or 2 day Halong Bay tour cruise are not able to get to this area. Therefore, Ba Trai Dao is one of the best beaches in Halong Bay.

With the clean blue water, it is a nice beach for swimming. Besides that, you can go kayaking in there around the mountains and that is great. Ba Trai Dao is a very nice beach but you can do swimming there only 2 to 3 hours per day due to the tide in Halong Bay.

It is quite far from Halong Bay and Lan Ha Center so only some cruises having itinerary going there. In some wavy days and the cruises may not go there for the safety because it will be wavy on the way to get there.
