Overview

The frame of the Jasmine Cruise cuts an elegant shape in one of the most elegant destinations in the world, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Halong Bay. Its burnished wood interior and white and gold exterior exude ancient Vietnamese opulence, while the various modern amenities make it a comfortable and safe vessel for guests on board.
The view of Halong Bay throughout the Jasmine Cruise was a big priority in the planning process. We know you are here to see the bay, so anywhere on board where you can relax is a place where you will see hundreds of forested mountain tops rising from the waters lapping gently at their bases. The exceptional service aboard the Jasmine Cruise extends to our spa treatments, tai chi sessions, kayak rental and the various excursions we offer around Halong Bay. Our crew is always at your disposable and we will endeavour to make your Halong Bay story a memorable one.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (L/D)

11.45 - 12.15: Arrive at Halong Bay, you will be warmly welcomed by cruise staff with the welcome drink. Our manager will have a brief introduction about the cruise before you check- in.

A delicious buffet lunch is laid out after you check into your cabins and explore your new luxurious surroundings.

The small community of Cua Van is a collection of floating houses attached by wooden walkways. We can explore this area via a kayak or a sampan boat rowed by a local, giving us a great insight into life in the shadows of the limestone peaks.

Our next stop is Tien Ong Cave, the past abode of humans from over 10,000 years ago, who used this cave for shelter from Halong Bay’s sometimes-turbulent weather. There is much evidence pointing to human habitation that can still be seen on the cave walls.

Re-joining the Jasmine Cruise, we head to Luon Bo area to dock for the night. Check out the awe-inspiring sunset from the top deck before our chef’s cooking demonstration demystifies some of the more confusing aspects of Vietnamese cuisine.

Either a buffet dinner or a barbecue will be served downstairs. Take your pick of the evening activities, including card games and squid fishing with the crew, relaxing in your cabin with a book or heading to the bar to socialise.

 Meals:  Lunch, Dinner

Jasmine Cruise

Day 2: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B/L)

Wake up early to Tai Chi on the sundeck, a wonderful way to boost your energy levels ahead of the day. A selection of breakfast snacks will be on offer shortly afterwards.

We avoid the crowds by heading to Titop Island early. Here we can visit the splendid beach or climb up to the summit of the island for the most perfect snapshots of the rolling Halong Bay landscape.

We re-board the Jasmine cruise to the welcome sight of a full breakfast laid out for us in the dining room. Peruse the last of Halong Bay’s marvellous scenery on the sail back to the mainland. We disembark the Jasmine Cruise at Tuan Chau Harbour, boarding our bus back to Hanoi as we do so.

15.00 - 15.30: Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi and your Halong Bay 2 day 1-night cruise ends.

It was our pleasure to have you on board the Jasmine Cruise. We appreciate all of our valued customers and we sincerely hope to see you again soon.

 Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch

Jasmine Cruise

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (L/D)

07.30 – 07.45: You will be picked up by private car from your hotel lobby for 3.5 hour driving to Halong Bay.

12.00: Arriving in Tuan Chau Harbour, you will be welcome on board.

Get acquainted with the facilities of your new luxury surrounds and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Take in the views of the passing Halong Bay islets from our wide-open sundeck.

Cua Van Fishing Village will be our first stop; here you can make the choice between taking a bamboo sampan boat rowed by a local and propelling yourself by kayak through this small floating community. This is a great chance to see and talk to locals who have lived here for generations.

Leaving Cua Van, we head to Tien Ong Cave, the most recent discovery of Halong Bay. Our guide will take you through the 1000 square metre cave, pointing out interesting aspects such as rock formations and evidence of human habitation over 10,000 years ago.

We return to the Jasmine Cruise and begin sailing to Luon Bo, our serene sleeping area for the night. ‘Blue hour’ is in effect at this point, the most magical time of day in Halong Bay, and you can take it all in on the sundeck. A cooking demonstration by our chef will show you how to make a vital element of Vietnamese cuisine.

We will have either a luxurious barbecue or a buffet dinner in the dining room, after which the night belongs to you. Relax in your cabin or on the sundeck with a book or movie, or opt instead for board or card games with fellow passengers and our friendly crew.

 Meals:  Lunch, Dinner

Jasmine Cruise

Day 2: Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

The smell of coffee and pastries will rouse you from your sleep as a few snacks are laid out in the dining room. An energising Tai Chi morning class on the sun deck will give you the best possible and most natural start to the day.

We transfer to The Sunset, our nimble day boat. A full breakfast will be served as The Sunset begins cruising to the heart of Halong Bay and the location of Sung Sot Cave. The ‘Amazing Cave’, as it translates to, is one of the biggest and most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, with a wealth of stalactites and stalagmites featuring as whimsical animals and humans in local folktales.

The Sunset will ferry us further into the bay as we lounge on the reclining seats, eventually reaching an area that provides great opportunities for kayaking through sleek emerald water and around forested karst rocks.

Lunch will be served on board The Sunset as we move on to a floating pearl farm, learning of the growing and harvesting processes of these precious gems at a humble workshop.

Back on board the Jasmine Cruise, you have a chance to relax at your own pace with a spa treatment or a few social drinks before dinner is served,

Our evening activities are available again tonight, including nighttime squid fishing on a small boat with our crew or listening to the dusk soundtrack of Halong Bay from the comfort of the sundeck.

 Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B/L)

Early risers are rewarded again this morning as there are more snacks and another Tai Chi class offered upstairs.

We head early to Ti Top Island to avoid the crowds. Here you can awaken properly with a swim or remain drowsy on the beach. For the more active passengers, there is a 400-step staircase that leads to the peak of the island and a viewing platform that gives outstanding views of Halong Bay and its junk boat cruises.

Returning to the Jasmine Cruise for the last time, we begin our sail back to the harbour. Take in your last views of the limestone spires of Halong Bay with a full breakfast. After this, you will depart the Jasmine Cruise and bid farewell to the crew.

11.00: Get back to your car for the transfer back to Hanoi.

15.30: Arrive in Hanoi.

Heritage Line would like to offer our sincere thanks for joining us on the Jasmine Cruise - One of the best Deluxe Cruises in Halong Bay for your 3 day 2 night trip in Halong Bay. We very much hope that we can serve you again in the future.

"An Amazing Time! 2D1N Jasmine Cruise Review"

Jasmine Cruise

We took the 4 hour transfer to Halong Bay, buying some pearls at a stop on the way and arriving at the pier to board the Jasmine Cruise. We did not expect the level of activity at the pier, with lots of boats and people boarding them. We jumped onto the Jasmine Cruise and entered out cabin, which was very nice. It was decorated so beautifully. We saw the first of the limestone towers after setting sail and were immediately amazed! A lunch followed this and then we set sail for a floating village, where a small bamboo boat took us around, showing us the sights. After this, we headed to the Tien Ong Cave and watched the beginnings of a stunning sunset outside. We had a bit of a rest upon returning to the boat, and then made some spring rolls as part of a class. After a wonderful BBQ dinner, we relaxed into the evening and spent most of our time on the top deck, making out the shadows of mountains and watching the twinkling lights of the other boats – totally surreal and an incredible experience in itself. We got some great pictures of the sun rise before we joined the tai chi class and had a light breakfast in the dining room. At Ti-Top Island, we climbed 427 stone steps to the summit of the island, which gave us great views over the bay. Everything seemed to be planned fairly well as we never had to wait for other tourists from other boats, though there were quite a few in the bay. Upon returning to the boat, we freshened up , checked out and had a really delicious lunch. In conclusion, we had a fantastic time on the Jasmine Cruise and would do it again in a heartbeat. The planning was precise, the activities were great and the scenery was out of this world. We really didn’t have to do much to do instead of relaxing fully. All of the staff were very nice and extremely polite. The perfect trip!

"Unforgettable Jasmine Cruise through Halong Bay"

Jasmine Cruise

We have done many boat tours throughout Asia on our travels before, but we were not expecting the level of service we received on the Jasmine Cruise, which was simply incredible. We loved the design of the boat and how clean it was inside and out. We had a balcony in our cabin and a very comfortable bed as well. For us, it was the food and the staff that were the standout players in the enjoyment of our trip. You will be eating a lot on this cruise, through all the buffets and the multi-course dinners, so make sure to pack your elastic waist trousers! Both of our favourite things on the cruise combined when we were invited for extra food and rice wine in celebration of the Vietnamese New Year, which the crew were bringing in in style. It was really lovely to be included in this special celebration for all the Vietnamese staff on board. The activities helped us to meet some of the other guys on the cruise, which was really nice. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

"A Perfect Day and Night on the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

We stepped foot for the first time on the Jasmine Cruise in the late morning of our departure day. We chose a small cruise and were happy to see that it was about half full, which lent us the perfect communal atmosphere. We checked into our cabin quickly and immediately headed upstairs to the sundeck, where we created a time-lapse from my phone – really beautiful! The cruise started for real with the lunch, which was absolutely delicious. We ate it on the top deck as we were too enraptured by the sites to move into the dining room downstairs. We stopped at a fishing village, where one of the locals rowed us around, singing a lovely song as she did do. She didn’t speak any English, but she was visibly very emotional when we handed her a $20 USD tip. There wasn’t all that much going on at the next stop, which was a rather disappointing cave visit, but we got back on the ship and had an excellent sunset party with happy hour. We watched a magnificent sunset and then moored in a really quiet area, away from many of the other boats! All of the local food served to us was phenomenal (they have western alternatives for people stuck in their ways). We had another memorable moment the next day during tai chi, when the mist of the bay circled around the mountains and created a very atmospheric picture. We headed to a beach afterwards for a swim and then headed back to shore. We really loved our stay on the Jasmine Cruise and cannot wait until we get another chance to do so!

"Highly Recommend the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

Me and my husband went for the 2 night cruise with Jasmine Cruise and were incredibly happy with the experience. There is some excellent furnishing around the boat, in the cabins and all the communal areas. Our cabin came with a balcony, which we made sure to get good use out of, and also a very powerful shower in the bathroom. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. We originally took a long time deciding whether the 3 day cruise is worth the extra money and time, but I have absolutely zero regrets about it as it was our most fantastic day there! The smaller boat can get you further away from the crowds and show you some spots that the majority of people don’t get to see. The ‘smaller boat’ was still very big and really really comfortable. The lunch we had on this boat was just as good as the food from the main boat. There were just a small handful of us on the second day, so we got to enjoy each other’s company as well as some of the peace that Halong Bay would have experienced 20 years ago. Quite easily the best way to see the bay is on a 3-day cruise. This is a must do cruise, regardless of how long you stay - you will still receive the same excellent service.

"A Real Treat – The Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

We were so lucky with the weather and that really made the cruise that much more special for us. I was very happy with the 2 night cruise that we did – I don’t think that there is enough time to really get a feel for the bay if you’re just seeing it for one day. Our room was fairly standard but had space for us and a bathroom with everything working perfectly. I didn’t really realise that the cruise was going to be so tightly run, with spots in between activities during which you could relax. We decided we would like more relaxing time, so we didn’t go to some of the activities and stayed on the boat instead. With an itinerary packed with activities, it says a lot that my most memorable moment is just sitting on the sundeck and lapping up the rays.Halong Bay is a little busy, but I don’t feel like I can really say much because I’m just another tourists who’s adding to the problem. It seemed like the Jasmine Cruise captain knew at what point to go to these activities to steer us away from the crowds. The food was so amazing – we had a BBQ on the first night and were then offered a different menu on the second night, but we opted for the same dinner as the first night and had a great dining experience all over again! I most certainly arrived back in Hanoi heavier than when I left! Our final activity really put the cherry on the cake – the climb up to the top of Titop Island. That view was stunning and was another memorable moment.

"The Perfect Escape on the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

We went in February on the Jasmine Cruise and were delighted by the services we received. Almost everything was of the highest quality. The room looked a little dated but was clean and functional for everything we needed. We had a nice balcony and bed with perfectly fine en suite bathroom. The boat itself is a little bit dated as well, but this actually adds to the charm of sailing through a mystical ancient area. The staff are really excellent and willing to help at any opportunity. They all presented me with a cake for my ‘birthday’, which was a lovely gesture but totally unexpected considering that it wasn’t my birthday and wouldn’t be for another 4 months. I don’t know why they thought it was but I decided not to say anything and just eat the cake! The food of the cruise was really good and much better than most of the stuff we had throughout our Vietnam trip. The great food and service continues on their day boat, which was smaller and can get to more places that the big boat can’t. This was one of the most beautiful place we have ever been and we are glad to have done it with the Jasmine Cruise.Just one piece of advice: bring some extra clothing if travelling in the winter, it was 12 degrees during our stay and we didn’t get to use the top deck much because we had forgotten to pack a coat.

"Great food, Great Activities, Great Time on the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

I’m not even sure where to start with this. The beauty of Halong Bay is the absolute standout attraction of the cruise, as it should be on any cruise around here. Me and my wife were suckered into the familiar romantic notion of sailing away into the sunset with just each other for company, but once you get to Halong Bay and see the many, many other boats around, notions will soon evaporate! That being said, we still really enjoyed our time on the Jasmine Cruise! The staff took excellent care of us the whole time and ensured that we were always happy. We went with a smaller option of cruiser and were delighted with our cabin, which was very comfortable and had an excellent en suite. I read lots of other reviews that mentioned that the itinerary is fairly strict and doesn’t allow for much time doing anything else. This is true, but it shouldn’t ruin your enjoyment of the cruiseThe food was incredibly tasty and everything was so fresh. The cave trip and the island visit were both okay, but the one that we really enjoyed was the fishing village, which gave us a great insight into a life I’d never even considered before – very interesting.I’m not sure what more you could possibly get out of the bay by doing another day, but that’s your call to make. I feel like the one day was plenty comprehensive, the second day would just be more relaxing I guess. There was a bit of a race back to the harbour, where we were swapped out with some other tourists who had just arrived. Overall, it was a really great time and will live long in our memories for sure!

"Lovely Time on the Jasmine Cruise!"

Jasmine Cruise

We’re so pleased that we chose to explore the beauty of Halong Bay through the Jasmine Cruise. There’s an old-world feel to the boat but with all of the modern comforts you can expect on a professional cruise. The cabins were so clean when we checked in and we woke up in the morning to the most amazing view of Halong Bay. Nice food, with lots of fresh choices to pick from. The staff were really great the whole time, they were giving us lots of advice about our future travels through Vietnam. There were two couples on the boat who were on their honeymoon, and they got some gifts from the crew as well as a song at dinner, which was really nice and shows that they care about their guests. We went to a cave, fishing village and also climbed to the top of an island for a fantastic view over the whole bay, which was definitely worth the effort! You don’t need a fantastic cruise to enjoy Halong Bay, but we were lucky that we did have one and it added to the experience immeasurably. Thanks so much Jasmine Cruise!

"Excellent Time Aboard the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

Our driver arrived to our hotel at about 7.45 and set off for Halong Bay. The driver was very Vietnamese in his driving, which is a little nerve-racking for us Brits. At 12.30, we set off on our cruise and were given our room number. The bed was slightly hard but it didn’t disturb our sleep, and our balcony was small but very nice to have. The decorations and atmosphere of the rooms is great – it really makes it feel like you’re in Asia and cruising through an ancient land! We had a brilliant buffet lunch to kick everything off; the chef had also made us spring rolls after hearing that we were not huge fans of seafood! We didn’t do the fishing village activity or the cave activity as we were upstairs on the sundeck instead, taking in the fantastic surroundings of the bay.The evening’s dinner was really good and we found lots of things to do during the evening afterwards. The next morning, we did decide to do one of the activities, so we went to Titop Island and climbed the stairs to the top, which were very steep and had a few too many tourists for my liking. We had a brilliant breakfast on the way back to the harbour and got a private transfer from Halong Bay to Hanoi airport, with a couple of stops on the way. We arrived with plenty of time for our flight.Great time overall and a very reliable service. Thanks Jasmine Cruise!

"3 Days/2 Nights in Paradise with the Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

Me, my husband and our four kids just returned from a 3 day trip with the Jasmine Cruise around Halong Bay, and the general consensus is that we loved it! Our two opposing rooms had plenty of space for 3 people each, so accommodating us was not a problem. It was no easy job appeasing our 4 children when it comes to food, but the chef managed this excellently. We had a little cooking demonstration on both nights (we were no more successful on the second time of trying) and enjoyed a lot of organised activities both on the main boat and the beautiful day boat as well. We really enjoyed out second day and our highlight was the other cave they show you here, which blew the cave from the first day out of the water! Our kids were huge fans of the kayaking and went completely crazy when they spotted some monkeys in some trees not too far from our position. The boat is a complete nature retreat, with no TVs or WiFi, so it’s an idea to bring a deck of cards or board games or something. The last thing to mention is the wonderful staff, who were so good with our kids, it gave me and my husband a chance to relax in total peace! They even presented my little girl with a birthday cake on the first day. Thank you Jasmine Cruise!

"Brilliant Experience – Jasmine Cruise in Halong Bay"

Jasmine Cruise

The Jasmine Cruise is a really lovely ship, with lots of space for exploration both inside and outside on the top deck. The rooms are totally hotel quality and we didn’t feel anything during the night when we were anchored. The food is spectacular and the cooking show was really good fun – our kids had a great time doing this. We got up early for tai chi while our kids were still sleeping, and it was truly magical. We seemed to miss a lot of the crowds on our cruise, which was great because we didn’t want hordes of tourists descending on the places we were at to take photos. There are indeed a few boats in the bay, but honestly, you shouldn’t care. We spent so long getting uninterrupted views of the stunning limestone towers that we didn’t mind when another boat showed up, it’s only fair to share the beauty! The staff were so great, especially with our kids. We all had a wonderful time and wholeheartedly endorse the Jasmine Cruise.

"The Jasmine Cruise is the Best Choice in Halong Bay"

Jasmine Cruise

We had fairly long transfer to the bay, with a souvenir stop off about half way for tourists to fill their boots. It’s not pushy so we didn’t mind, and soon after we were on the Jasmine Cruise. The boat is absolutely stunning and had everything we needed for a really relaxing time. The cabin was a little small but the bathroom was a good size, plus we had a little balcony out the front. The whole ambience of the cruise was one of the highest luxury quality. Considering the lower price we paid, we couldn’t believe the service we received from the crew, who were always there to help and always did so with a smile. We also met lots of people on the boat, who had come from all over the world to experience Halong Bay at the same time as us.There were some good trips to an island, fishing village and cave. A short cooking session and a tai chi class were hosted on the boat. Not much in the way of wifi, but that is a very small concern for me in the beauty of Halong Bay. I took so many pictures of Halong Bay, it really is stunning. I’d highly recommend the services of the Jasmine Cruise, which really made the trip special.

"Stunning Jasmine Cruise"

Jasmine Cruise

We really enjoyed being on the boat, which was relaxing and exciting in equal measure! Everything was top quality and exactly what we had hoped for: great rooms, comfortable bed, excellent facilities and delicious food and cocktails. The staff on the cruise were really pleasant to be around – super friendly and attentive. Halong Bay is just beautiful, which makes it sad to see the rubbish floating around. The attractions you visit feel overcrowded at times, so I think next time I will just opt to stay on the boat for the entire cruise, as it was far more relaxing than joining in with the activities! It’s such a luxurious experience, I feel like next time I will book with a balcony, just for the added luxury! Loved the Jasmine cruise and everyone on board. Thanks for a great trip guys!

"Jasmine Cruise Overnight"

Jasmine Cruise

I took my two teenaged boys and some of my friends on the Jasmine Cruise for just one night, but we had such an amazing time! The boat’s facilities, the food and the staff were simply fantastic. We were expected rain, which did arrive later on the first day, but it actually made our sampan boat ride around the fishing village and the cave so much more ethereal – they were some amazing moments. On the second day, we went to Titop Island and got a great view of the bay from the top of the mountain there. There are a lot of boats in the bay and that ruined the view slightly as they were all crowding around the bottom of the island, delivering guests who were trying to climb up the steps as we were climbing down. This is an unavoidable part of having such a beautiful area on your doorstop in Vietnam. Nevertheless, it was a great time and I’m very glad I went with the Jasmine Cruise

"2 Night Jasmine Cruise Experience"

Jasmine Cruise

Returned back to Hanoi after a really good time on the Jasmine Cruise, which was a much higher level of service than I expected. I would heavily suggest that people book the 2 night cruise instead of the single overnight trip, as there is so much to do in Halong Bay and you would be missing out on a lot if you didn’t spend that extra night there. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was of another level entirely. Great cabins with air con, great activities – really I can’t say any more! The one downside is that the government don’t permit you to swim around the boat, which is what I was hoping to do, instead you have to go to a designated ‘swimming spot’, which I thought was crazy seeing as we were surrounded by water. Nevertheless, this was just a small blip in an overall fantastic time in Halong Bay. Thanks to the Jasmine Cruise!

"Jasmine Cruise – one of our top Highlights!"

Jasmine Cruise

Had a fantastic time around Halong Bay with Jasmine Cruise. It’s a bit of a long way from Hanoi, but the company provide you with a comfortable bus and they stop on the way at a souvenir place. The Jasmine Cruise itself was absolutely beautiful, and we got such a great feeling just being on the ship. The rooms and the dining room are all decked out with wooden panels so it feels like you’re in the 1920s. The staff are super friendly, the food was exquisite and the cooking demonstration was really fun.We had three stops on the cruise: one at an ancient cave where Neolithic remains had been found, one to a floating village set amongst the mountains, and one to Titop Island, where we walked up the 400 steps to get a great view over the rest of the islands.I would advise people not to get put off by the potential plastics and boat traffic in the bay. Both of these can be fairly bad at times, but to let that ruin your experience of one of the most beautiful places on earth would be insane. I definitely recommend Halong Bay and I most certainly recommend the Jasmine Cruise.
