Apricot Cruise

07:45 - 08:30: The driver and tour guide will arrive at your hotel lobby in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Board the bus for a scenic drive eastwards to Halong Bay.

12:30: We welcome you aboard the Apricot Cruise at Tuan Chau harbour, handing you a welcome drink as you meet the crew.

13:00: A tasty lunch is served as we begin our cruising around the bay.

14:30: We drop anchor first outside the beautiful Surprising Cave, which you will explore with our knowledgeable guide.

16:00: After this, we cruise to Titop Island, where we are spoiled for choice between the options to relax on the beach, swim in the sea or climb to the top of the island for a panoramic view.

17:00: We return to the boat and enjoy a sunset party as we head to quieter surrounds for the night. Free wine and fruits will be available as we observe the magical spectacle of sunset ahead.

19:00: We have a delightful dinner before an evening at your leisure. Our onboard facilities such as the bar and sundeck are always open, or you could try squid fishing off the back of the ship.

06:30: The day begins with a tai chi session in the new morning light of Halong Bay.

07:00: The boat weighs anchor while breakfast is served downstairs.

08:00: We head over to a quiet area for kayaking and enjoying the verdant scene on all sides.

09:30: Once more aboard the Apricot Cruise, we relax for the rest of the morning, learning some special skills from our chef in the cooking demonstration before lunch.

11:00: We have a delicious lunch as we approach the harbour. Upon arrival, we disembark the Apricot Cruise and board the bus returning to Hanoi.

The 2-day, 1-night tour in Halong Bay ends at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. It was a pleasure to have you and we hope to have the same pleasure again soon!

07:45 - 08:30: Our driver will arrive at your hotel, where you will meet them in the lobby and board the bus to Halong Bay.

12:30: You will be able to board the Apricot Cruise shortly after we arrive at Tuan Chau harbour.

13:00: Enjoy a delicious lunch as we set sail into the verdant bay in front of us.

14:30: We head first to Sung Sot Cave, where we find a whole world of glistening stalactites and stalagmites awaiting discovery.

16:00: Our next stop is the island of Titop, famous for its beautiful beach and adjacent waters. Passengers can also hike to the top of the island for a great view of the bay.

17:00: We return to the Apricot Cruise in time for the sunset party, where free wine and fruit will accompany our sailing to our quiet overnight area.

19:00: After a delicious dinner in the majestic dining room, an evening of relaxing activities will follow. We will have board games and squid fishing available.

Option 1: Halong Bay Further Cruising  - Overnight onboard in Halong Bay

06:00: We will host a tai chi session on the sundeck for any early risers.

07:00: Breakfast is served in the dining room as we prepare for another day in the bay. 

08:20: Board the day boat and head deeper into Halong Bay.

09:30: We take a quick visit to Dong Tien Lake, a glistening and enclosed body of water.

10:00: This is followed by kayaking and swimming around the Trong Cave, another of Halong Bay’s impressive natural caverns.

12:45: Lunch on the day boat will precede an afternoon of relaxed cruising

14:30: Our final stop for the day will be Tung Sau pearl farm, where we can learn about how pearls are collected and refined right here in Halong Bay.

16:20: We return to the Apricot Cruise and spend the rest of the afternoon lounging on the sundeck. Another sunset party will be held before dinner.

19:00: Dinner is another beautiful affair, after which we have evening activities available again. Perhaps this time, some drinks at the bar or a night of karaoke might tickle your interest.

Option 2: Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay - Overnight on Cat Ba Island

06:00: Begin the new day with a revitalising tai chi session in the new morning light. This will take place on the top deck before we begin cruising.

07:00: A full breakfast downstairs will help us prepare for the day ahead. We board the Apricot day boat after this to explore some of the wonders of neighbouring Lan Ha Bay to the south.

09:00: We take a guided kayaking tour of a beautiful wet cave as we enter Lan Ha Bay, reveling in the close-up sights of beautiful limestone geology.  

12:00: We continue deeper into Lan Ha Bay, enjoying lunch on the way.

13:00: Dropping anchor at Monkey Island, we discover a beautiful beach and resort backed by pristine mountains and jungle. Take the time to enjoy the magical nature around before you either:

• Check into the Monkey Island resort and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening here, with a dinner served in your private bungalow facing onto the sea.

Or

• Return to the Apricot day boat and head to Cat Ba Island, where we will drop you off at a hotel here. Enjoy the many beautiful attractions of Cat Ba for the rest of the afternoon and evening time, with a dinner served in the hotel’s restaurant.

Option 1: Halong Bay - Back to Hanoi

06:00: We start our final day in Halong Bay with some more tai chi atop the sundeck.

07:00: A delicious breakfast sets us cruising again.

08:00: We arrive at a quiet area with mountains all around and take our kayaks out onto the water.

Option 2: Cat Ba Island - Back to the boat - Hanoi

07:00: Enjoy a relaxing island breakfast in your bungalow or hotel. The day boat will collect both sets of passengers from Monkey and Cat Ba islands and return them to the Apricot Cruise.

08:00: Once we have re-boarded the boat, we have the entire morning in which to relax, with a cooking class before lunch showing us the correct technique to prepare delicious spring rolls.

11:00: An early lunch will be served as we cruise back to the mainland harbour.

11:30 - 12:00: At Tuan Chau harbour, we wave goodbye to the Apricot Cruise and return to Hanoi via the awaiting shuttle bus. We will arrive in the capital at about 16:30 or 17:00.
