Sip on a welcome drink as you step aboard the Glory Legend for the first time.

12.00 – 13.00 We will begin our cruise through the maze of jutting limestone karsts as a lunch is served in the elegant dining room.

We head over to Tung Sau first, a pearl farm that cultivates this most precious gem in the waters of Halong Bay.

13.00 – 19.30 We sail around the corner and stop at Titop Island, with its dragon fang-like appearance. Here we can relax on the beach or take a dip in the water surrounding it. You also have the option to climb to the top of the ‘fang’ for a brilliant view over the undulating Halong Bay scenery.

If you would like a massage, they are available from this point onwards. You must book directly with the cruise manager.

The sundeck of the Glory Legend will be the location for a wonderful cooking demonstration by our talented chef. Happy Hour follows this, giving you a chance to indulge in pre-dinner cocktails in the dying light of a Halong Bay sunset.

19.30 – 23.00 We have a set-menu dinner spanning Vietnamese and international options tonight.

Maybe try a bit of squid fishing with the crew for evening entertainment tonight. If this does not appeal then you can play board games, watch movies or just relax in your cabin before bed.

A filling brunch back on the Glory Legend is served as we approach the marina.

Step off the Glory Legend and step onto your shuttle bus, which will transfer us back to Hanoi with short rest stops along the way. Your Halong Bay Overnight Cruise with Glory Legend ends.

Thank you so much for joining the Glory Legend for this overnight tour of Halong Bay. We hope you had a wonderful time and we would like to invite you back on board soon!

Glory Legend Cruise

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (L/D)

07.30 – 12.00 Wait for the shuttle bus in your hotel lobby. We will drive across the fascinating landscape of the Red River Delta on the way to Halong Bay.

08.30 – 19.30 Climbing onto our comfortable day boat, we will visit Cua Van Fishing Village and skim its waterways in a sampan boat rowed by one of the locals; they will show us the interesting facets to this floating community of 700 people.

The maze-like Me Cung Cave is our next stop. Our guide will point out fascinating rock formations as well as evidence of human habitation around the interior.

Head back to the day boat for a refreshing lunch.

We will have time in the afternoon to relax back onboard the Glory Legend. Maybe try out the sundeck, or book with the cruise manager for a spa session.

Another Happy Hour and another cooking demonstration will start in the late afternoon.

19.30 – 23.00 Sit down in our elegant restaurant for your final dinner aboard the Glory Legend.

Re-boarding the Glory Legend for the final time, we have a filling brunch and check out of the cabins on the cruise over to mainland Vietnam.

Wave goodbye to the crew as you disembark the Glory Legend and head back to Hanoi via our shuttle bus. Your Halong Bay 3 day 2 night with Glory Legend ends at your hotel around 16.00.

"2 Days of pure Glory!"

Glory Legend Cruise

Glory Legend’s cruise boat is in really great condition. Everything was so clean and neat, and the beds were so very, very comfortable. Loved everything about the food and had a couple of really good meals, the best being the dinner. Well planned itinerary run by competent and friendly staff. They take you to quite a few places but these are all optional, and there is plenty of time to chill on the boat either way.I’m not sure if we were initially running late or anything, but the driver seemed VERY determined in setting a new land speed record between Hanoi and Halong Bay. I appreciate the differences in driving culture between Vietnam and England, but the bus was full of tourists so I feel like he could have slowed it down a little. A few people ended up complaining to the company and one couple even booked a taxi back to Hanoi.I can’t do Halong Bay justice with words or photos, you simply have to go there yourself. I recommend the cruise to everyone and encourage people to take the 3 day cruise if possible, as 2 is good but an extra 24 hours in the bay would have been magical.

"A Glorious and Legendary trip aboard the Glory Legend in Halong Bay!"

Glory Legend Cruise

What an unbelievable cruise we’ve just come back from in Halong Bay. Here’s why:- The crew. A great collection of wonderful people, always there to help if you need them! They seem to genuinely care about the customers and that is far from the usual experience. They were so good about my husband’s food allergies, talking to the chef about possible alternatives and getting back to us later with a completely personalised menu. I tried some (quite a lot) of it and it was just as delicious as mine.- The cabins. Well decorated, outwardly beautiful and with sliding doors that opened up directly onto the stunning views of the bay. Great showers and other amenities of the same quality you could expect of any luxury hotel on land, but with a much, much better series of views out the windows.- The food. Just endless. Most meals are 5 courses and have a mixed menu of Vietnamese and Western food, which was good for the touch of homesickness we were feeling! Our final dinner was served upstairs on the top deck, which we weren’t expecting but it came as a very pleasant surprise.- The activities. There’s a good balance of busyness with activities and relaxing down time on the boat. We headed to Titiov island where you can see a great view of the islands and mountains, but only if you put in the effort to hike up the stairs. There were caves, beaches, pearl farms etc along the way. For those doing the 3 night tour, they take you from the main boat onto the day boat after lunch. There’s a dining room, a few bathrooms and a large lounging area. I had not envisioned something like that, not by a long way! You do some activities in the morning and then have lunch on the boat. There’s a lot of time for relaxing, so we made full use of it!It’s a long bus ride to the marina, so be prepared for that. There’s a stop halfway through where you can buy drinks and food and lots of Vietnamese products that I couldn’t quite figure out!I have already recommended this trip to a few of my friends and will continue to do so! Special thanks go to Tam and Mr. Dong, both of whom were exceptional and made our trip so perfect. Keep up the good work!

"Best Part of our Holiday"

Glory Legend Cruise

One of the essentials if you’re in the north of Vietnam, or just in Vietnam in general. We did the 3 day tour and we encourage everyone else to take this option as well. The time to Halong Bay is a little long from Hanoi, but that’s just the way it is. We took the private car option the day before and stayed in a hotel near the harbour to save time the next day – it worked perfectly!Very safe boat and very clean to boot. Incredible staff who were always willing to chat with us and share some information about Halong Bay, Vietnam and their home villages. Our dinners were a pretty ridiculous 8 courses, which I shouldn’t need to tell you equates to A LOT of food! There was buffet options for the other meals so it’s safe to say that you will never go hungry on this cruise. The drinks are a little expensive, but not the end of the world. It was about 60,000vnd for a can of beer, so you might want to consider bringing your own and storing them in the mini-fridge in your room. They plonk the 3 day passengers on a ‘day boat’ while they ferry the overnight bunch to the harbour and replace them with a new bunch. We had a great time on the day boat and spent a lot of time relaxing over the course of the second day. There are some optional activities, but these were very relaxed. The one issue I had was a lack of communication on the part of the booking office when we were trying to arrange transport. We got the shuttle bus back but had to wait for two hours at the harbour beforehand because the shuttle was full. Really not much of a problem but a little inconvenient all the same.Still, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back – it was simply unbelievable.

"A Very Memorable Experience"

Glory Legend Cruise

If you’re on the fence about whether to go with the Glory Legend or not, I implore you to read this and then book with them! Everything was magical from the moment we set off. It was worth every last cent of what we paid for it and actually, quite a bit more. I have to mention the staff first and foremost; they we were a great laugh, always cracking jokes and showing the best of Vietnamese hospitality. Wonderful people to spend a cruise with! Our room was almost perfect, just a tad too small, but it never became a problem. There was a terrace where we could sit in the shade and watch the mountains while we sailed past them. It was like something in a movie. There is a HUGE amount of food served at meal times. My husband has a horrible allergy to shellfish and I couldn’t eat a lot of the food seeing as I was pregnant. We nervously asked them if they could change a few things and they went above and beyond in providing us with a sort of tailor-made menu, where we figured out what we could and couldn’t eat, then delivering it with a smile. Unbelievable service.Everything we did off the boat was also amazing. There was kayaking in the sea and hiking through the cave. There’s a cave with a great view over the bay, which is perfect for photos. We were so lucky to catch sight of a small group of monkeys – we made sure to get a snap! I’m highly recommending this to everyone and I am also eager to go back and do it all again. Well done Glory Legend!

"Fantastic Experience"

Glory Legend Cruise

Me and my friend opted for the 2 day, 1 night tour with Glory Legend Cruise and had fantastic time overall. The crew were perfect from pick-up to drop-off – always kind, considerate, attentive, and generally very nice people who had a definite professionalism about them in their work. The space on the boat is pretty conclusive. The size of the cabin was pretty good and there was a load of space throughout the rest of the boat. Lots of outdoor places where you can take photos of the bay, which looks absolutely stunning and worth everything we paid to come here. The food was also great; we had some of our favourite ever Vietnamese food aboard the Glory Legend, in the lunch and dinner multi-course meals and buffet breakfast and brunch. There were plenty of activities to go and see the bay. We loved the kayaking and the hiking up the island with a viewpoint at the top (bring a towel and some water for trek; it gets very hot!) There was also plenty of stuff to engage with on the boat.My only piece of advice would be to go for the Glory Legend. We were not let down in a single department and we thought the price that we paid was actually less than it was worth. Brilliant all-round!

"2 Days 1 Night Cruise with Glory Legend"

Glory Legend Cruise

Just returned to my hotel in Hanoi after a wonderful cruise on the Glory Legend. Fantastic scenery, great drinks, great food, brilliant staff, air conditioned cabin, comfy bed – the whole deal really! We enjoyed happy hour, visiting a viewpoint on Titop island, going to a pearl farm, trying out some kayaking for the first time and visiting a cave. The itinerary is very full for the 2 days but you can choose to stay on the boat and relax there instead. The 4 hours to the bay from Hanoi is a bit long but unavoidable. Our driver was 100% Vietnamese in the way he did some fairly nail-biting overtakes and pulling round some corners. This was the only negative in an otherwise perfect trip that I would strongly recommend to anyone reading!

"Magnificent"

Glory Legend Cruise

I spent quite a while researching the best cruises in Halong Bay and were very happy when I landed upon the Glory Legend. We departed and the late-September weather proved to be perfect. The cabin and room were great, but not much could detract from the beauty of Halong Bay, which was simply outstanding. We spent a lot of time on the sundeck, taking in the beautiful views, and did this for virtually all of the morning on the second day. Wonderful stuff.I’d recommend stocking up on any snacks or drinks you may want in Hanoi. There is a rest stop on the way to the bay but it is very expensive and clearly just there to take tourists’ money. You can also buy stuff from the ladies rowing their boats around on excursions. The first one of these was to Titop, where we climbed to the top of the hill in some pretty tough heat, but it was fully worth the effort. You can opt to swim at the beach but the water was full of people when we were there, so me and my husband decided to stay on the sand instead.Beautiful cruise, highly recommend.

"Just a Wonderful Way to Relax!"

Glory Legend Cruise

Me and my partner just returned from a 2 day cruise with the Glory Legend, which we enjoyed immensely. Our needs were fully taken care of by the brilliant staff, who looked after us in a professional but personable way and we couldn’t have asked of any more from them. The food was also excellent. We found a complimentary bottle of wine within our cabin once we had boarded, and after meeting all the crew, we were sure that we had taken the right cruise. We relaxed on the first day and did a hike up about 400 steps to a viewpoint on an island, which was glorious, followed by making some spring rolls back on the boat. There was tai chi the next day, a bit of kayaking and a visit to a cave, which I found very interesting. The main draw of course is the scenery that you sail through. It’s really magical stuff with lots of chances for taking pictures and a great way to get out of the city for a couple of days. An essential visit and I highly recommend going with Glory Legend!

"Relaxing time accompanied with great service"

Glory Legend Cruise

We really enjoyed our stay with the Glory Legend Cruise and had much space on the boat to roam around. We had about 25 passengers on our boat but we didn’t feel crowded at any point. The food was really delicious and was served by some very welcoming staff, who were also very professional in dealing with my dietary requirements. The level of English amongst the crew is very good, so we could chat about lots of different thing. Mr Thu in particular has incredible English and is a delight to talk to.I didn’t realise that our cabin came without a balcony, which was a little disappointing, I guess I didn’t see the other options when I booked. We compensated for this by spending lots of time on the sundeck, where you can get unbelieveable views of the bay on all sides.Fantastic experience and one that I highly recommend!

"Stellar Scenery, Service and Staff aboard the Glory Legend!"

Glory Legend Cruise

Everything great about the Glory Legend Cruise is captured in its name. Halong Bay is absolutely unmissable in my opinion and the Glory Cruise provides a great timetable for activities in the bay. We had kayaking, a cave visit, cooking lesson, thai chi class and more. We loved the wonderful staff and their admirable commitment to their passengers. Tam and Dong in particular were outstanding: so happy and welcoming, with excellent English skills that meant we could talk for a long time. Amazing food – sometimes when I tell chefs that I’m a vegetarian, I just get the set-menu dish with the meat removed. This was definitely not the case with the Glory Legend, they took it much more seriously and I had some delicious food because of it. Our deluxe cabin was a little on the small side, but it was very cute and comfortable enough for us. Big thanks to Tam, Dong and the crew and a big recommendation for the Glory Legend!

"Worth Every Penny!"

Glory Legend Cruise

Well planned activities and there seems to be a lot of them. You are not pressured to do any of the activities if you don’t want to and can opt to stay on the boat if you prefer. Breakfast is a buffet option and lunch and dinner are both 4-course gourmet meals. I think they could make a bigger effort to inform everyone of the charges for all the drinks as we were not clear on if they would cost more or not. There was lots of dark wood throughout the ship that really elevated the feeling of being on an antique boat, which was nice. There were so many activities, including: hiking up to a viewpoint, visiting a fishing village, kayaking, walking around two caves, squid fishing, a trip on a bamboo boat and 2 chances for swimming. The boat was very clean throughout and we came back from activities to a spotless cabin on both mornings. The staff are very friendly and accommodating of special dietary requirements. I have a mild wheat intolerance and this was not a problem for anyone, they just whipped me up something else that was very tasty!I would strongly recommend doing the 3 day option, which is a more intimate experience as you are only with a few other passengers who took that option. We had a very enjoyable time with just 6 other passengers for the whole day, and were joined later on the main boat by a new group. The crew were great in accommodating for us and our new friends to have a private dinner on the top deck, which was so lovely. Thanks Glory Legend, you were certainly the highlight of our Vietnam vacation!

"The full 3 days is a must!"

Glory Legend Cruise

I was searching for the best cruises in Halong Bay and the name of the Glory Legend Cruise came up so I decided to give it a go. Wow! I was definitely not disappointed. The weather had cleared from a thunderstorm the day before and was absolutely beautiful! We got very lucky, as it made all of our activities look a lot more picturesque, like a Titop Island, where we climbed up the stairs to get the most amazing view from the top. The kayaking was great, as was the cave and fishing village visits. Nothing much was going on at the pearl farm, and I feel this may be a way for locals to score some extra tourist money. The cabin was wonderful, with great views through the windows. We were the only ones doing the 3 day cruise, everyone else on board was taken back to the harbour while we were out on a day boat during the second day. We came back to an empty boat and had the most amazing dinner under the stars for just the two of us. The staff were wonderful during this meal, but also throughout the whole trip. Tam in particular is very friendly and sweet and speaks excellent English. Dong is also very polite and lovely – props to both of you and the rest of the staff. I’m definitely recommending this cruise!

"Relaxation at its Finest"

Glory Legend Cruise

Dealt with first-rate staff through my entire time with the Glory Legend. Arvin helped me with the booking, Tuan guided us wonderfully and all the staff aboard the boat served me with a smile – what an excellent team! The cruise is beautifully decorated with lots of wood, which gives it that sort of antique feeling that looks very attractive in Halong Bay. The French balconies and sundeck really help you to stretch out your limbs and enjoy the bay. I read many reviews that complained of the trash problem in Halong Bay, but I saw absolutely no evidence of this when I was there – maybe the government has made a conscious effort to clean it up.The activities were good but we just had one hour each for Sung Sot Cave and Titop Island, which seemed a little rushed to me. I understand that there are a lot of tours all aiming for the same spot, but it still seems like this could be managed better. The activities sort of dry up after dinner, but it’s nice just to sit outside and listen to the sounds of Halong Bay.The food, cabin and staff were all fantastic. They really elevated my expectations for my next cruise. Highly recommend!

"Glory Legend Cruise in Halong Bay"

Glory Legend Cruise

Great trip overall, made possible by the very caring and lovely staff. We mentioned that we were vegetarians and this was no problem for Ms Tam and her crew.A typhoon had cancelled the first day of our trip, which was supposed to be 2 nights but ended up as 1. We were disappointed but not disheartened, as we still had a full 24 hours on the water. The second day was a little bit rushed because of this (we literally had to run back to our cabin to check out in time), but we still had a relaxing time overall. The activities were actually very entertaining, especially the kayaking, which I was not very good at but had a blast anyway! The cabins were quite small, but maybe this is the size of all rooms if you don’t book a luxury cruise. Very comfortable nonetheless and nice large window to see the beautiful scenery.Very satisfied overall!

"Incredible – go for the 2 nighter"

Glory Legend Cruise

We took the 1 night cruise but wish we had gone for the 2 night one instead. The bay is really beautiful and the service aboard the Glory Legend is wonderful, but the itinerary is fairly full and should really be spread out over 3 days.Very friendly staff, always willing to help their passengers. Their English level is generally very good, so they were able to tell us about area and lead is during activities. We went to Titop beach with them and they accompanied us in the squid fishing.Lunch and dinner were both 5-star affairs, and the next day’s breakfast and brunch were buffets – all meals were outstanding and the chef deserves a big commendation for this!We found the rooms to be of ample size with comfortable amenities. The only problem we had was the itinerary, which feels a little rushed on the 2D1N. I’d suggesting going for the 3D2N for a more complete experience, but definitely choose the Glory Legend to take you there!
