"Spectacular and Luxurious Royal Wings Cruise"

Royal Wings Cruise

We decided on the 3 day 2 night cruise with the Royal Wings and were astounded by the quality of the service that was on offer. It really was like staying in a 5 star hotel on land, both in terms of the service and the amenities on board. For instance, our cabin had everything we could possibly hope for – a very comfortable bed, a full window and the piece de resistance, a jacuzzi in the bathroom! It did take a while to fill the jacuzzi because hot water is a bit limited on the boat, but the wait was worth the experience for sure! All of the meals were fantastic. Even for lunch, we had white linen tables and excellent service. The dinner was the best though – a BBQ meal on beautiful tables with a view of the sparkling boats outside. Pure magic. There was also zero movement of the boat, which we had initially been worried about because I suffer from a bit of motion sickness at times – nothing to worry about here. I think the best thing that we did was kayaking. It was amazing to be within touching distance of the rocks and one of the passengers was convinced that there was a family of monkeys in the nearby trees. We spent a while excitedly looking but couldn’t see them in the end. It’s a bit of a workout so you need to be mildly fit to get anywhere. Just be aware that if taking the 3-day itinerary like we were, then you are put on a smaller boat for the second day as the main boat returns to the harbour to drop off passengers and pick some more up. The smaller boat is still a good quality, but you should make sure you have everything you need, as you won’t be seeing the boat again until the late afternoon. All in all, a great trip with a great company!

"The Royal Wings Cruise – Excellent 2D1N Trip"

Royal Wings Cruise

Wonderful cruise from the beginning to the end. The organisation of the itinerary was very professional and effective, but there wasn’t much time to yourself, just to sit and watch the view, and maybe make use of the luxurious jacuzzi in the bathroom. The cruise manager was fantastic and ensured that everyone was safe and happy the whole time. The kayaking was really excellent and the visit to the fishing village was both colourful and educational. All the food was fantastic and the cabin was very suitable for my family’s needs. The crew were great with my two children. Highly rated. Thanks for a great cruise.

"5-Star Overnight on the Royal Wings Cruise!"

Royal Wings Cruise

This cruise was absolutely everything we dreamed of! I don’t think I can fault a single thing during our time with the Royal Wings Cruise – we were treated so well for every second between pick up and drop off. The pick-up was exactly on time (to the minute) and we hopped onto the bus with three other couples. We met the tour guide at this point and learned a lot about Vietnam and the Vietnamese people and language on the way over, which was really interesting. Our tour guide was fantastic through the whole trip and had really good English to get his point across smoothly! The great customer service was continued by the other staff on the boat. They welcomed us with open arms when we first arrived and the real fun started here. Food – Incredible. I couldn’t stop eating. Activities – Amazing. Super good fun and very relaxing, especially the swimming. Cabin – Beautiful. Clean and modern with everything in great working order, including the jacuzzi! Boat – In great condition. It’s very new so there is not much wrong with it. The top level of the boat was the best part. It had lots of sun loungers and completely free views of the bay. Organisation of the crew was to perfection and we thought there was an excellent balance between itineraries and free time. 5 stars in every department, the Royal Wings Cruise. I was very impressed and my expectations were well and truly shattered. I highly recommend!

"2 Day 1 Night as a Queen on the Royal Wings Cruise"

Royal Wings Cruise

Me and my husband were treated like true monarchs on the Royal Wings Cruise. There are lots of conflicting opinions about which tours are the best and which should be avoided. It’s quite hard to know what to do without putting in hours of research, so we booked through a travel agency to ease the burden. All of the staff were very friendly, especially the cruise manager, Rocke. It was the same level of service that you would expect from a high-class London hotel, really. The ship itself was a thing of beauty and our room in particular was amazing. Our bed was huge and so very comfortable as well; I could have easily stayed there for most of the trip! The spa bathtub in the bathroom was obviously a massive bonus as well. The shower was also a good option and the whole place was spotless. Views onto the bay were also phenomenal, especially from the top deck! All of the food was great, but the stuff on the first day blew us away. Dinner was all of 6 courses and contained a lot of tasty little dishes. The breakfast the next day is also nice, but doesn’t hold a candle to that dinner. Me and the hubs have a couple of dietary requirements between us, but that didn’t seem to be a problem for them as we got our alternative food at the same time that everyone got theirs. We were kept busy for sure, but the trip was well organised from start to finish. They made announcements before an activity would start, so you have time to get ready and no one was just waiting around for it to start. The itinerary was busy, but well organised. There were announcements before the activities so you knew when to get ready and so we weren't unnecessarily waiting around. We had good trips to the cave and via kayaking, also to the fishing village which was amazing to see and hear stories about. This cruise would suit absolutely everyone down to the ground! I’m happy to recommend it to absolutely anybody!

"Such a Great Boat – The Royal Wings Cruise"

Royal Wings Cruise

This cruise is very new and so everything on board was in fantastic condition. The rooms are faultless and all of the amenities were in top working order. There’s the same basic itinerary for every cruise in Halong Bay, what’s different is the quality of the service that you go with. Halong Bay will always be stunning, but some of the boats around there are certainly less so! We went during May, which is the low season, so it was super quiet for the most part, but this might also be because we paid a little extra for this boat. All of the meals were excellently cooked and we enjoyed the food so much! We saw a few people turn away from the food because it wasn’t Western food, which I thought was unbelievable. It was Vietnamese food for sure, but we were very happy with it – not everything has to be burgers and fries! We did some of the on board activities like the cooking class, squid fishing and even a bit of karaoke. It’s very relaxed in the evening and people are free just to saunter around and do their own thing. The ship is most certainly not a party boat, so don’t book with the Royal Wings Cruise if you’re after that, but it is a great cruise for a romantic and beautiful time in Halong Bay.
