My girlfriend booked this trip for us but refused to tell me anything about it, so it would all be a surprise – she even slapped the phone out of my hand while I was trying to research the Signature Royal Cruise! I can safely say that everything was a total success and I was indeed, very surprised! You can see all the other boats in the bay when you arrive and I was thrilled when the Signature Royal Cruise came into view, as it is easily one of the best looking boats in the bay. We were welcomed on by the ever-vigilant Vinh, who welcomed us personally and showed us onto the boat.My girlfriend had opted for the boat that had 16 cabins, which we found to be the perfect size as it wasn’t too small or too big. We never felt crowded and we got to talk to many other passengers over the course of the cruise. The junior suite that we stayed in didn’t have the private balcony that most of the other rooms had, but we did get a very nice room, an electric heated toilet and a jacuzzi – can’t really turn your nose up at that! The 2 day 1 night cruise was plenty sufficient for us. We didn’t feel the need to stay in Halong Bay any longer, and unless you’re some kind of artist or yogi, I’d say the same. It was beautifully calm the whole time and we had some very ethereal fog at one point, which created some very nice images. We took a fisherman boat around the local floating village, did a fun cooking class, visited a cave and did some tai chi on the roof of the boat. Actually, we stayed in the super comfy bed instead as it started at 6am! Happy hour was also a very nice time of day for us!I was a little wary of potential seasickness but there was absolutely nothing, it’s even less bumpy than a car. Very smooth sailing and completely still at night.Beautiful work by the staff of the Signature Royal Cruise and much love to the company for provided such an excellent itinerary and service! We will be back for sure.
Me and my daughter joined a 2 day cruise at the last minute. We didn’t know what to expect because of the sporadic nature with which we booked the trip, but we received such a great service throughout the 2 days. Our driver was of the more conservative variety, waiting patiently and not trying to force his way through traffic jams. We got to Halong Bay safely and ready to cruise.Check-in was simple and quick and we were on our way. The rooms that we got were very comfortable and of a very decent size. Ours was on the lower deck and had an extra reception area for sitting. The bathroom had a jacuzzi but we didn’t have a balcony. We didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything though as we always headed to the top deck for the fully panoramic views that you get up there. No problems with the electricity or hot water throughout the cruise, but the wifi was a little bit spotty, which is to be expected. There were many videos for our entertainment but they all featured a bit too much action and violence for our Mr. Darcy-like tastes. The food was of outstanding quality the whole way through. We ate a LOT of seafood and other tasty little morsels of food. They check with you beforehand to see if you can/want to eat what’s on the menu, then tailor it specifically to everyone on board and bring out all the courses at the same time! Incredible work. There’s a big consensus for safety on this cruise and we were always given lifejackets and made sure that we knew how to kayak. The excursions themselves were good fun, especially the kayaking.Great cruise overall and we really couldn’t have been happier with our choice of Signature Royal Cruise!
It was a big group of 7 that went on the Signature Royal Cruise. That’s quite a lot of people to please and yet we were dealt with in a really friendly and professional manner. There wasn’t a single thing that the staff couldn’t do for us and we were very grateful for the solid commitment they showed to their passengers. The food was insanely tasty and the family quite with comfortable beds, balconies and bathrooms was stupendous. You know you’re in for a luxurious time when you discover your Japanese toilet had a heated seat! Not sure why you would ever need that in Halong Bay, but it’s a nice touch! My word – the balcony. We were amazed at how big it was, and looked about twice as big as the pictures on the website had us believe. All 7 of us fit comfortably on there, so we didn’t really head to the top deck other than for the dinner and the tai chi in the morning. We’d had a great cruise before around Halong Bay with another company, but Signature Royal Cruise topped it even further. They really did everything for us and we can’t thank the staff enough! Thank you Vinh and team, and special thanks for taking special care of my son - you’re all troopers!
We decided to go with the luxury van because of the long nature of the ride to Halong Bay. The crew greeted us in a warm manner as we arrived at the boat and took our luggage on board for us. Our Vinh was a great host, as was Ellie and her team in the restaurant. The Senior Suite that we booked blew us away as it looked even better than the professional photos on the website. We absolutely loved the balcony and the other small touches that really added up to making it special, like the décor and the little bits of furnishing around the place. All the food was top quality and they had zero problems in dealing with my wife, who is a vegetarian. The activities that we did in the bay were brilliant – especially the fishing village visit and the pearl farm that we saw on the second day. It was so relaxing there and there were no other boats around. We went to a cave on the third day, which was not all that exciting but it did give great views of the bay. There was a lot of queuing just as we were making our way out, as there is only one entrance and exit. Still, we have not been on a cruise that we have enjoyed as much as the Signature Royal Cruise. It was completely stress-free and an absolutely fantastic trip all round!
It was certainly an interesting ride between Hanoi and Halong Bay to start us off. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it was very exciting, as driving into the paths of oncoming trucks seems to be a bit of a trait for Vietnamese drivers. Nevertheless, we made it in one piece and were checked onto the boat in an efficient manner. We were then in the hands of the cruise manager, Vinh. He and his staff treated us so well and they were all highly trained professionals in everything they did. They spent a lot of time getting to know us, but also gave us a lot of space when we wanted it. They had placed a cake and some roses in the room as they had remembered that it was my sister’s birthday. The room itself was fantastic and the star of the show was that gorgeous balcony, where we ended up spending a lot of time. Food was of consistently high quality and the drinks were a reasonable price.Incredible staff, great cruise and beautiful Halong Bay. I can’t see why I wouldn’t be back.
We finally settled on the Signature Royal Cruise after a few days of deliberation and didn’t look back from that point onwards. I can’t vouch for the other cruises in Halong Bay, I just know I had a absolutely fantastic time on this cruise with my husband. The overall luxury that we got was what made it so special. We were treated so well by the lovely Vinh and his crew. They spent a lot of effort in making us feel like royalty, and that is certainly not a service you will get on every cruise. We took one of the beautiful deluxe cabins at the front of the boat and received a few little gifts from the staff to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary. We woke up in utter serenity and had the perfect view of the bay out of the window. We headed upstairs for a tai chi session in the open air, which was actually a really beautiful experience in its own right. We did not expect the level of food that we got. It was of the highest quality and the chefs deserve extra props for the ridiculously cool presentation of a lot of the dishes. No one could possibly dislike this cruise – everything is of real 5-star quality, so it is definitely worth the money you pay for it.
As soon as you book your room with the booking crew, you know you’re in for a great time! We were very impressed with the small details that not many passengers would notice, but they all added up to one amazing tour. The tables in the dining room were arranged depending on the groups and the brilliant manager Vinh remembered our names from the moment we mentioned them – just for that extra personal touch! Lots of drinking water given and a beautifully tasty lunch and dinner. The food at the breakfast buffet ran out a bit but I think that was because I started eating late.If there’s two things to mention about the room, it’s the balcony and the jacuzzi. I didn’t find any other cruises across my research that had both of these, and they really added to the luxury aesthetic of the ship. The itinerary is very relaxed and you are not forced to join in any activities that you don’t feel like. The alternative is to spend more time on the boat, so it can be fairly hard to choose which you would prefer! It does cost a little bit of wonga, but the service you get is just fantastic – definitely worth it and definitely worth cruising with the brilliant Signature Royal Cruise!
Our family of 8 is usually quite a hassle to deal with on holidays, but big props to the Signature Royal Cruise for managing it without a hitch! It was such a relaxing and fun experience for all of us. Across the three days that we sailed with them, Lam, Ellie and Vinh were outstanding hosts – we couldn’t have asked for any more from them! There is wifi on the boat but it’s better to stay disconnected. We took our kids’ phones just in case they were tempted. I don’t know a single person who wouldn’t adore the food they served on board. Very well maintained and equipped boat – the one thing I would mention is that the shower head isn’t particularly powerful, but that is genuinely my only complaint across the 3 days! We loved the excursions, especially the kids, who were all about the kayaking and have been asking if they can kayak around the pond opposite our house since we returned! We had good weather for the trip around the fishing village but then it turned a bit sour and we got to watch a magnificent thunderstorm from the boat. We spent the second day on the day boat in some quiet parts of Halong Bay. It’s amazing that the Signature Royal Cruise could appease every single one of our family, who ranged from 7 to 67. Wonderful service and fully deserving of all the praise it gets. Thank you Signature Royal Cruise!
The three and a half hours it took to get from Hanoi to Halong Bay just flew by. It was a very comfortable ride over and we were greeted in a nice manner by Mr. Vinh. He determined our food allergies and general tastes, making a note of everything, then let us relax before we boarded the cruise. We took the smallest room, with no balcony, but we were so pleased with everything we did have. It was a beautiful room with lovely decoration. We could watch the views of the bay out of the window and enjoy the jacuzzi and fancy toilet in the en suite bathroom. We took a rowboat around Vung Vieng Fishing Village and then the pearl farm next to it, which was fun and educational. Obviously the pearl farm has an attached gift shop, but there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything, so I had no problem with that. The evening had a cooking class, which was very fun and informative. The weather didn’t allow us to watch the sunset and sunrise, but we could still make out the shimmering lights of other boats through the fog, so that was very nice! We transferred to the smaller boat after breakfast and headed over to Cong Dam, where we did some kayaking and had a great time doing so. There was lots of chance to sunbathe, swim and chill on the day boat and it was easily our favourite day! We had the most amazing lunch and I was so full by the end of it, but I really couldn’t stop. The way that the Signature Royal Cruise pampers their guests is just fantastic! We were taken back to the main boat and had a gorgeous dinner. That was followed by a light breakfast, then full brunch. We went to Thien Canh Son Cave, which I thought was absolutely amazing and very artistic. You get a great view of the bay from the viewpoint at the top of the cave. The Signature Royal Cruise puts on a bunch of activities both on and off board, so you really get a chance to meet people and chat with them and the crew. We met some really lovely people on this tour and were very lucky to have the staff and fellow passengers that we did.The Signature Royal Cruise went above and beyond for us and we can’t thank all of the crew for that! You guys are outstanding and deserve a lot of credit – especially Mr Vinh and Ellie!
The first thing that struck us about the Signature Royal Cruise was the friendliness of the staff. Ellie was a very friendly member of staff – she introduced us to the cruise wonderfully, while all the others served us with a friendly smile and a great attitude. Large rooms with a great en suite, all very clean and had some lovely decorations throughout. Every meal is included and it is of the most fantastic quality, with lots of portions to ensure you don’t go hungry. We made use of happy hour a lot, but drinks general weren’t that expensive outside of it. They had a nice choice of wines and an impressive stock of spirits. Every excursion was great! We did rowing, kayaking and visited a cave, but our favourite bit was finding the lovely beach where we could relax and sunbathe. We finished the cruise with a final delicious lunch and then headed back for sure. We had a great time appreciating the bay with the wonderful help of the staff! Thanks guys and thanks Signature Royal Cruise!

Halong Bay has been sitting near the top of my bucket list for so long now, I decided that now was the time to take a cruise there. I booked through my hotel in Hanoi and was presented with the Signature Royal Cruise, which was the kind of top quality service I was after. After a bit of a hair-raising ride to the bay from Hanoi, we met Ellie, who took us to the waiting lounge and gave us a cold glass of juice. We were soon after tken onto the boat and were very happy to start out cruising. The luggage was carried into our room and we were surprised at how big the whole cabin was. We had great views on offer from the balcony and side windows, with a jacuzzi in the bathroom for that added slap of luxury. We took to Halong Bay in a rowing boat and also did our own kayaking, squid fishing, beach swimming and tai chi-ing. My absolute favourite activity was stuffing my face with the most incredible food they cook there. Truly out of this world. The charming Ellie was our first indication of the fantastic hospitality of the crew, but it was carried on perfectly by everyone on board. None more so than Vinh, that wonderful manager who went above and beyond in making his guests feel welcome. He was articulate and a very personable guy – with an aura of professionalism that exuded off him.I highly recommend taking the 3 day cruise over the 2 dayer. It has its disadvantages (price being the main one) but its advantaged are threefold. You will not regret it at all.
Very lucky to get beautiful weather and very lucky to have the services of the Signature Royal Cruise. We really enjoyed our stay in the excellent cabin, which was roomy and beautiful. We went to a beautiful fishing village and did some entertaining kayaking around the bay, which were both great, and then we jumped onto the day boat for kayaking and swimming in quieter areas. Great happy hour drinks, they went perfectly with the amazing food we had! Brilliant work by Vinh and the staff to make us feel super welcome the whole time. We did end up waiting quite a lot for boarding the boat and getting into the car etc. I felt like this could have been done a bit smoother and it would have made us a lot less stressed as we rushed the airport transfer to make sure we got our stuff in time.
We went to celebrate a very special anniversary on the Signature Royal Cruise and they accommodated us beautifully! We felt like king and queen on that ship, in the beautiful cabins with plenty of space and on the sundeck, with the gorgeous views of the bay. The cruise was not very busy so we had plenty of space to roam around. We had perfect weather the whole time and enjoyed a lot of it from our private balcony. During our stay we went kayaking, made spring rolls, visited a cave and did some smaller stuff. The boat itself was spotless and the nighttime was beautiful, with all the twinkling lights of the other boats around the bay.The staff were just amazing on this cruise. Vinh (Mr. Vin Diesel) was the epitome of class; he was polite, funny and kind, the all round perfect gentleman. The lovely Flo taught us how to make spring rolls and was so much fun the whole time! the chef made consistently delicious food and the barmen made us some killer drinks. Can’t recommend this cruise any more! It was outstanding. We were almost clinging to the walls so they would have to drag us off at the end!
We booked with the Signature Royal Cruise for New Years Eve and were not left disappointed!. We are two vegetarians with shellfish allergies but this was no problem for the cruise chefs, who made us some fantastic alternatives that turned out to be the best food we would have in the country. Very nice room which was very quiet at night. The NYE party started promptly at 7pm with some complimentary champagne. We had some stellar entertainment and good conversations throughout the night. Sarah and Hung were the best and they stayed up with many others in the crew to celebrate, even though this was a very western party and the Vietnamese new year doesn’t start until February. Sarah especially was just lovely and an excellent tour guide.Loved everyone on the Signature Royal Cruise, thanks for starting off our year in style!
I am currently sitting in the waiting lounge after departing from the Signature Royal Cruise and I have to say I am VERY impressed. Me and my friends were treated to a fantastic time by Mr Lee, our amazing host who stopped at nothing to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We felt at home in his presence and he worked very hard to make that a possibility – excellent work from you, Mr Lee! This was one of the annual girl’s trips that me and my best friend do once a year. Out of 6 different trips, including to Thailand, Japan, and places in Europe, this was absolutely the best and we are already regretting not staying that extra day. Anyone looking for a great time in Halong Bay should absolutely book with the Signature Royal Cruise!
We took the extra day to make the whole thing a 3 day 2 night itinerary. We were happy with our choice and also the decision to pay an extra $10 for the luxury van – which has leather seats with USB charges as well as wifi. Crazy stuff!Comfortable and surprisingly huge cabins. We were at the mid level with a private balcony and a sweet jacuzzi in the bathroom! We balances itinerary with lots of chances for kayaking, which is one of the things I really wanted to do. Excellent food and a tasty mix of Asian and Western styles. As is always the case though, what made this cruise was the professional team on board, who displayed the most amazing feats of hospitality. This was especially the case with Vinh the cruise director; very energetic and a really good positive vibe to have around, we thought him and Cong from the day boat were just superb. We celebrated a birthday within our group and were gifted with a free cake and bottle of wine – what a great choice! Thank you so much Signature Royal Cruise!
Very impressed with everything on the Signature Royal Cruise but I have a special place in my heart for Mr. Vinh – our excellent cruise manager. He remembered everyone’s names and ran a very tight ship, being super friendly and kind along the way.Our expectations were blown out the water as soon as we saw our Signature Suite. It was so beautiful and we could watch the view of the bay through the windows while in bed. High quality food and fantastic happy hour. We drank a lot of cocktails and can definitely affirm their tastiness and effectiveness! The schedule offered us many chance to relax, including on the day boat on the second day. There were some nice kayaking, caving and swimming activities as well.Big recommendations for this cruise – we had a fantastic time!

There were three of us taking to the Signature Royal Cruise. The staff welcomed us out of our luxury transport and we were soon on the main boat. They porter your luggage for you and give you a very nice welcome drink and a quick itinerary briefing. We were shown to the amazing rear cabin with a furnished deck of tables, chairs and sun loungers. We were made to feel very comfortable by the staff, which was lovely. The food was very delicious and the activities were sound. We went to a small village and a cave on a little boat. The cave requires walking up quite a few steps, so I’d opt to stay on the boat if you don’t feel like you can hack it – also the cave is very crowded and you’re not missing out on much. Many of the ships around us moor in the same place, but we didn’t hear a peep from any of them so it was completely fine. We had a constant flow of drinks and nothing to complain about. We watched a gorgeous sunset and were very content with it all. Excellent professionalism by the Signature Royal Cruise.
We were on the road for 8 months before we decided to end it with the Signature Royal Cruise. It was a bit more expensive than what we’re used to, but we decided to treat ourselves after such a long time of booking everything ourselves. The crew were very welcoming and we met Lee once we stepped onto the boat. I’ve certainly never had a more friendly, personable and professional guide as him before! He’s absolutely outstanding in his role! We opted for the 3 day cruise so did kayaking, squid fishing and lots of swimming around secluded beaches. The suite cabin was very comfortable and the chef made some of the most impressive food that we had throughout our long travels. Big thanks to all the staff – you will not be disappointed on a Signature Royal Cruise! ❤
We read so many mixed reviews of so many difference cruises, so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect when we booked the Signature Royal Cruise. I can guarantee that we chose the right one after doing the 3 day 2 night tour with them. Mr. Lee and his staff are wonderful people, all very well trained with excellent English and good hospitality. The food was stunning and the activities were great – it’s so nice to get out into that bay. The scenery is incredible and we saw no examples of the polluted water that some cruise reviews were talking about. It was a wonderful finale for our time in Vietnam – we will be back!
So glad that we settled on the Signature Cruise after researching at least 20 others. Our group of four took 2 of the senior suites – which were absolutely beautiful with brilliant balconies and a spacious bathroom featuring jacuzzi. Watched our sunrises and sunsets on the top deck. It ws raining but I thought that made it look even better, as there is a beautiful mist that falls on the place. Very very nice crew and lovely food, cooked to the preferences of the guests on board. Mr Cuong Lee was excellent. He did everything to make us comfortable and was so helpful and friendly along the way. The perfect luxurious way to see Halong Bay.
