It is all subject to a schedule, and they can be quite enthusiastic in respecting it and inviting you to participate in everything ... waking you up, insisting that you go to either side. The excursion that we had to the “caverns”, consisted of all above a wooden boat and go under the mountain and return. That's it. We do not go anywhere. There are many mosquitoes bite us, they advise you nothing, that information was missing. Bring repellent! The guide was with us from the beginning of the itinerary, who picked us up at the hotel. His name is ANTHONY. Very good. Personally he took care of managing the transfer to the airport and left me very calm, that kind of effort are worth a lot. 5 stars for the management of the Guide!
The trip great. Only two hours of bus and at all times they have informed you of the schedules that take them very controlled. The new boat and the room great. Very good food and they give you water in all the activities, kayaking, swimming, cave visits ... we did a course of logs that we ate to finish the trip. Toast with wine courtesy of the house to close a perfect cruise. I would repeat with La Paci Cruise without a doubt.
We were recommended to make the cruise with La Paci Cruise through Lan Ha Bay, instead of the much-requested Halong Bay and it was a success. Sailing through its waters is equally spectacular and nothing crowded compared to Halong. Regarding the boat, it is new, clean and the food spectacular and the excursions, very nice and fun. Our guide Amy, was lovely, very attentive and waiting for us to enjoy at all times, and contributed significantly to this tour is one of the best we did in Vietnam. I visited with the group of Minh. Everything was great. After comparing many companies is the best quality-price he gave me. I hired him directly with them, so it came out cheaper.
I gone to Halong Bay with La Paci Cruise with some friends a few days ago and we can't have a better opinion of the boat than this one. Everything was very clean and careful. The bathroom would need some reform to give it a 10. Very good value for money seeing the prices of other boats. We loved the excursions and activities. We did the least tourist part and were delighted. To also mention our guide Sarah, a very close person who made the journey even better than expected. We were very comfortable. On the ship we were a group of only 10 people in which we felt like a family. 100% recommended.
We were picked up by the hotel at 9 in time. From there they took us in a minibus to Ha Long Bay, with a previous stop to go to the bathroom or buy something. The cruise is very nice, rustic and clean. The varied food, in Vietnamese style, before you are asked if you can consume all kinds of food and if you have any preferences. The spacious and clean cabins. Very entertaining activities. We did kayaking and then we swam by the sea. At night there are activities such as karaoke, board games and dancing. The next day we went in some canoes through the caves, we had Vietnamese cooking classes that we could then eat what we prepared. Our guide Ben was super lovely, always present when we need and he told us the history of the place and taught us about the culture of Vietnam. I would definitely choose them again. Thank you La Paci Cruise!

Amazing trip, so relaxing with a wonderful view. I would recommend to stay in the hotel and not in the resort. The tourist guides (Quan & Ben) were so nice even tho thet were really young. they were always checking that everything was okay and explained about Vietnamese culture. The boat is suitable for family
Our tour guide Ben is a great English speaker, with a good sense of humor. From our bus journey from Hanoi to Halong and back, he was very helpful and really. nice guy. Although as a solo traveler, I would not recommend this journey for young solo travelers to meet other types of minded people as these are mostly older couples. but the staff are fantastic.
Ha Long trip with La Paci is really memorable, new ships, clean rooms, delicious food, we can visit the Bay, caves, kayaking, squid fishing .... Minh - our tour guide was very enthusiastic, the staff and manager – Mr. Canh was very adorable, caring for each member of the delegation Will be back in the future! 10 points!
Thanks to La Paci and its staffs The 2-day-1-night trip with our friends (we traveled 4 people) onboard La Paci was wonderful, from the service staff to the itinerary, very enthusiastic and thoughtful -tour guide is very enthusiastic, friendly and funny - Rooms are clean and equipped with modern facilities and free coffee and tea: P -The food is delicious, delicate, reasonable catering - Participate in and experience a full range of activities: kayaking, visiting caves in the evening, sunset parties. We will find a chance to come back again!
Me and my partner just came back from the most amazing cruise in Lan Ha Bay, thanks to La Paci Cruise. It started so well with Mr. Coffee, who met us on the bus and entertained us on the way to Lan Ha Bay. He made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we met and continued his great service throughout the whole cruise. After a short 2-hour drive, we were on the boat and had sat down to an amazing lunch. We had a few celebratory cocktails and were talking to the other passengers and crew. I let slip that it was my birthday the next day, so when that day came around, I was presented with a birthday cake and had the whole crew sing to me. That was completely unexpected but it was very touching, and it’s a really great example of customer service done properly.Aside from that, the activities were really fun and the cabin was a nicely comfortable space for us to relax. We loved the crew and would like to thank Mr. Billy, Mr. Coffee, and Quan the bartender by name for their brilliant service and their contribution to one of my favourite ever holidays!
It’s hard to express how amazing I thought this cruise was. Everything was so customer-oriented and the staff were really phenomenal – they were super friendly and attentive without being too much. The room was absolutely beautiful, as was the top deck where we spent a lot of our time. The food was really special and they catered to my strong peanut allergy perfectly and without fuss.Minh, the tour guide, deserves special praise for his wonderful services. It seems like he was born to be a guide! He arranged for a ferry to Cat Ba Island for me and my fiancé after the tour was finished, and this was a flawless experience as well. Huge props to Minh and fantastic work, La Paci Cruise! We will be recommending your services to everyone we know coming to Vietnam in the future!
Me and my husband really enjoyed our exquisite trip to Lan Ha Bay with La Paci Cruise. We booked onto the 2 day, 1 night trip and found that it to be plenty substantial for us, despite the option of their being a 3 day version. We booked through a travel agency and everything was very professional. Our booking agent Eric was very pleasant and helped us to finalise the details at our hotel, even though we had only just arrived in Hanoi that evening! The boat itself is lovely. There are only 10 cabins on board, so with a maximum of 20 people, you will certainly never feel overcrowded or pushed for space. The rooms had a very unique decoration that we didn’t see on any other cruise in Halong Bay, and I thought it was very stylish. Our guide was inexplicably called ‘Coffee’ and he did an excellent job in looking after everyone. We had no complaints at all about the transportation link between Hanoi and the bay. The bus was very comfortable and it only took about 2 hours to make the entire trip. There were some great activities on the boat, including squid fishing, which required a lot of patience but I did manage to catch a baby squid in the end (we threw him back of course)! We also had a fun time with the swimming and kayaking in the bay, which was well-supervised by Coffee and some of the rest of the crew. The cooking class involved us making spring rolls, which was a good laugh with Coffee at the helm. The food was very decent but not world-beating, though there was plenty for everyone and it was being gleefully wolfed down on many other tables. It was a great trip overall and we’d like to thank La Paci and Coffee for a great service!
The 2 day 1 night cruise that we did with La Paci was exactly what we needed! It was a short cruise in a beautiful area that really delivered what it promised. We were expecting some crowding of boats due to what we’d heard and read, but it seemed like no one else was there! We didn’t realise that La Paci went a different way into Halong Bay than the other boats, so that side was apparently relatively unknown. There were a few great members of staff but the one who stood out the most was Billy, one of the customer care representatives on the boat. He was really easy-going and friendly, and had an excited buzz about him that it was hard not to catch. Regardless of how beautiful Halong Bay is (and it really is), Billy has be doing the job for a while and to keep that level of excitement up about something he must have done hundreds of times before is remarkable. All in all, I don’t have anything but praise for La Paci Cruise. It was precisely what we were hoping for and it delivered even more than that through the quality of the service, both throughout the staff and from Billy. It was a reasonable price that was very fair for the services provided. Thanks Billy and the rest of La Paci crew!
Really excellent experience – top service from La Paci Cruise. The activities were always well led by the tour guides and they were perfectly arranged to fit in the tight schedule of other activities and meals. We could not have had a better experience on the second day with Mr. Billy, who was an outstanding guide and a genuine pleasure to be around. He was an absolute trove of information regarding Cat Ba Island and the greater history of Vietnam; we learnt a lot from him! Billy was one of our big highlights, but he’s got some serious competition with the food, which we found to be amazing. La Paci Cruise takes you to some of the more quiet areas of Halong Bay, meaning you can enjoy the quiet and get some great pictures without any interrupting cruise ships. Great experience, highly recommended.

We found the boat to be perfectly sized – not too big and not too small, with some great guests in just 10 cabins throughout the boat. The food was off the charts, seriously! It was so so tasty, especially the lunch on the first day. We went kayaking on the first and second days and I was so happy with this – the kayaking was the best part for sure! The second day takes you to a small island and you can cycle around and do a bit of hiking too. Our guide, Billy, was sensational! Such a fun guy to be around and very informative about the island and other parts of Vietnam’s history and culture. The guy who was on the bus with us (sorry, completely forgotten your name) was great. I really enjoyed the entire trip with La Paci Cruise and can’t think of any downsides! Halong Bay is really one of the prettiest places I have ever been to – I wish it were possible to stay for longer than 3 days as I would have snapped that up in a heartbeat! Thanks La Paci Cruise!!
I wasn’t expecting all that much from this cruise, considering that I saw many that were more expensive. It’s safe to say that I was blown away by La Paci Cruise and its amazing itinerary full of exciting activities. I didn’t realise that the food was going to be quite so food, and I really didn’t anticipate the high level of service from the staff. As well as being very professional, they were friendly and fun, so we had about 7 or 8 new friends after this journey that we didn’t have before! It’s hard not to love Mr. Billy, the enthusiastic and smiley tour guide. Billy has excellent English and is so kind and thoughtful – he made sure I was comfortable while tending to a wound I had acquired while getting out of the kayak. Mr. Hien was also a joy – he was very attentive and clearly put the customers before himself. He was very well informed and explained some of the history of the bay to us. Thank you so much, La Paci, for such an amazing trip. I will be back soon! <3
Overall, we had a blast on the La Paci Cruise boat in Lan Ha Bay. The collection from the bus was exactly on time, and the ride was a comfortable one with a short break in between. The cabins were really great – very modern and well-arranged. The double bed was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom provided everything we needed. There aren’t too many people on the boat, so it’s good for getting a social atmosphere going. The staff help with this a lot, as they are very warm and approachable. Two in particular, Coffee and Billy, were both fantastic and clearly had very high aspirations in the company. They were always there to help out, and they both gave us some great history and culture lessons while we were out squid fishing. I hope they both achieve what they’re after, they both deserve it.The schedule is a little bit strict, but that means you can enjoy everything and not have to worry about timing for potential flights after the trip. I’d definitely recommend cruising with La Paci Cruise, I will be doing so again in the future!
We just stayed for the one night with La Paci Cruise but we had a very good time. We loved the staff! They were so very friendly with us and clearly had a joy in talking to us and helping us out in any way that they could. It’s about a 2.5 hour trip to Lan Ha Bay, after which you get a tender boat to the main boat. We started with lunch and then did some kayaking in the gorgeous water. Lan Ha Bay is simply stunning – I’m so glad I got a chance to see it. After this , we re-boarded the boat and had a party with the crew, staying up late with them to watch the World Cup with some beers!. The four activities of the last day were morning tai chi, cooking class, breakfast and a visit to the caves. The caves were really amazing, with lots of spectacular hanging stalactites which we rowed under. The cooking class was great fun and the breakfast was delicious. This was a really great trip to take with my wife and neither of us can wait to be back on board with La Paci again!
From the beginning to the end of our 2D1N cruise with La Paci, we were very impressed and very well taken care of.Our trip started off with Minh, our tour guide, collecting us and taking us in the fancy minivan for the 2 hour long journey to Halong Bay. Minh provided us with fantastic information and was very polite and helpful along the way.Once we stepped onto the cruise, we found a very clean room with some great facilities and a clear priority on safety. The staff were all very friendly and helped us out a lot, especially during the dinner service, which was absolutely delicious. Our group activities included kayaking, visiting a cave, cooking class, tai chi and some others. We were kept busy but we still managed to get some time relaxing on the boat, which was one of our priorities before we joined the cruise. Thanks La Paci and Mr. Minh for all of your hard work, we hope to come back soon for another highly memorable cruise!
We got a great deal on our 3 day, 2 night tour with La Paci Cruise, due to the fact that it was he off-season when we travelled. The transportation to the bay was perfect, with a modern and comfortable bus that picked us up and dropped us off within 2 hours. We checked out the room as soon as we boarded and were delighted to find that it was elegant and very clean, with air con and a delightful little bathroom. Our favourite part of the whole trip by far was the second day. I know most people book for 2 days, but everyone on our trip liked the second day the most and I suspect it is the same feeling across most voyages through Halong Bay. We met Billy on the first day and he introduced himself, but then we spent the whole of the second day with him and the handful of people who booked the 3 day option. Billy was an excellent guide – consistently funny, friendly and informative, and he guided us very well through Cat Ba Island during the cycling and walking activities. The food consisted of many tasty dishes, with multi-course set menus and buffets and the rest of the staff were very pleasant. I know that La Paci Cruise is not the cheapest option to see Halong Bay, but I would highly recommend their services regardless as you totally get what you pay for on this cruise.
I booked onto the longer version of La Paci’s itinerary and was immediately glad that I did after seeing Lan Ha Bay in all of its glory! Transportation to and from the bay was very smooth. The bus was much better than I expected, with air con and free wifi.We all got onto the boat and checked out our rooms. We had a group of 5 split over 2 rooms, and both rooms were beautifully air conditioned and decorated. The en suite was wonderful, with a nice shower and hot water at any time of the day. The food was delicious and the itinerary was chockablock with fun activities for us to be getting on with. We still had lots of time to relax on the boat, which was great. Our group loved the crew, who were very friendly and relayed the itinerary to us very clearly. Our favourite was Billy, who took us to Cat Ba Island during the second of our three-day trip. He was constantly making us laugh and told us passionately about the history of Cat Ba Island and its role in the war. An absolute 10 out of 10 from me for La Paci Cruise. It was outstanding. There were some very slight issues that I should mention:- The WiFi was bordering on unusable as it is very slow (though it’s nice to put the technology away and admire the scenery- The pillows weren’t all that comfortable
I had such a good time on La Paci Cruise! It is so worth going to Lan Ha Bay rather than Halong Bay. I had read many reviews of both before booking and it seemed like a no-brainer to go to Lan Ha, which is so much more quiet. I kayaked and swam a lot, which were both amazing because of the space I had to enjoy the glorious nature. All of the staff are so friendly, but I was especially impressed by Billy, the excellent guide for the 2nd day, which I spent on Cat Ba Island. It was pure coincidence that I was the only one to book onto the 3-day trip, so I actually had my own personal guide! Billy was very kind and sweet, and we had a really fun day together, cycling around and walking through the rainforest and the village. He taught me some very useful Vietnamese and I made sure to use it a lot throughout the rest of my trip!I recommend La Paci very highly and definitely the services of Billy!
We stepped onto the boat to the sound of the Titanic song coming through the speakers, which was maybe a bit ominous! Fortunately we didn’t hit any icebergs during the cruise, and thus had an amazing time!I’ll mention the food first because that really blew us away. It was easily the best seafood we had in Vietnam and there was so much of it that we were assured never to go hungry. The staff took extra care to understand people’s dietary requirements and provide alternatives if something couldn’t be eaten. There are lots of activities and you’ll certainly be kept busy throughout the cruise. Everything was bang on time when it came to the scheduling and we had a lot of fun – the kayaking and the tai chi especially. We did a small squid fishing activity from the small boat, which was more relaxing than it was fruitful! We felt very safe on the cruise and everything appeared to be new. Even on the ride over, which was very fast, we felt like we were in great hands. Our two hosts, Coffee and Billy, were fantastic in their roles and really helped to liven up the trip. They spoke great English and had some great knowledge about Lan Ha Bay. They extended the Happy Hour so that we could watch the world cup with them with some cheap beers!I really don’t have any more praise for La Paci Cruise – they were outstanding!
We didn’t know totally what to expect before booking with La Paci Cruise, but it’s fair to say that it would have been a hard experience to top! We were told that the bus would arrive between 9.20am and 9.30am, which it did, and then we continued around the Old Quarter and left with a full bus at 10am. It was just two hours to the bay, including a stop along the way for snacks and the toilet. From the very start, our guide, “Coffee” was excellent. We had a flight booked from Hai Phong to Da Nang after the cruise, and Coffee got us a taxi and stayed in contact with us until he was sure that we were going to catch our flight. Brilliant Service!Once we arrived, we had a great lunch in the dining room, which was delicious and served very quickly. A dinner, breakfast, and another lunch was served before we exited the cruise, and we were happy with the qualities and quantities of everything. The two day trip seemed to be the best one to do. Anything else is either too short or too repetitive. We still managed to do a lot of activities in this time, including kayaking and swimming, which was my personal favourite. The cooking class is more just a demonstration on how to make spring rolls, but it was made fun by Coffee’s stories! We chose not to do some of the other smaller activities as we felt like relaxing in our cabins. The cabins themselves were really great and there are only about 10 of them, so you get a nice, manageable group of fellow passengers. The vessel looks a little dated from the outside but the inside is full of lots of nice, modern touches. We can’t thank La Paci Cruise enough for showing us how service is supposed to be done in Halong Bay!
Our 3 day, 2 night trip on La Paci Cruise really couldn’t have gone much better. The boat, staff and everything provided by the company was amazing, and the scenery that was all around us while we were sailing was some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Our guide Billy took the three 3-day people on the small boat to Cat Ba island and we had the best day with him! He told us a lot about the history of the island and was also very fun – I’d injured my leg previously so I couldn’t cycle, so Billy took me on the back of a motorbike around the island! Lots of activities made this cruise super fun (kayaking, caving, cycling, swimming cooking) – and the staff definitely made this more exciting! The bay is utterly wonderful and very quiet – I would recommend coming here with La Paci Cruise and doing the longer itinerary.
There were virtually no other ships during our time in Lan Ha Bay, but the whole area looked identical. We got some serious Jurassic Park vibes while cruising through the bay – and we did some kayaking swimming and cave visiting to make it even more beautiful. We got lunch and dinner on the first day and had breakfast and spring rolls that we’d made on the second. The staff were really great and Mr. Coffee especially was tremendous fun.Our only negative would be the room. The double bed that we’d booked turned out to be two twin beds pushed together, which was pretty noticeable. Also, the power briefly cut out during our cruise and when it came back on, we couldn’t get our air con to work at all. This didn’t detract from the experience though as we were rarely in there, and I would still 100% recommend La Paci Cruise to everyone!
My girlfriend and I booked onto the 3 day cruise with La Paci and were very happy with the result! Our guide’s name was Coffee and he came with his brother, Egg, who was the driver. It was just about 2 hours to the bay, and it flew by very quickly We weren’t overly impressed by the outside appearance of the boat, but it gets much better on the inside. All of the suites are fantastic quality and everything was working in ours.We had some very relaxing kayaking and swimming experiences during the cruise, and the nature of Lan Ha Bay is absolutely stunning. There were a few boats around but not that many, and then we went into a more secluded areas and had a more peaceful time there. The staff rowed the boat for our cave visit, which was pretty amazing. The food for lunch and dinner was just sublime. Each meal was 4 or 5 dishes and they were very tasty. Breakfast was a buffet and was also good.Mr. Coffee was an excellent guide the entire way through and looked after his guests perfectly! He was very well organised and kept to a good schedule, which meant that we were able to get a taxi from the harbour the airport immediately after getting off the ship.Keep in mind that beverages aren’t included and actually can be a bit expensive. If you really want a drink, you can bring them from land.Great trip overall, I highly recommend the services of Mr. Coffee and La Paci Cruise!
