Around noon, pause for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang Town, renowned for its verdant green tea plantations.

By approximately 18:00, your travels will bring you to Ha Giang, a destination rich in cultural and natural wonders. Here, you will enjoy dinner and spend the night with a hospitable Thai family in their traditional stilt house, providing you with an authentic and immersive experience of the local way of life.

Given that a permit is required for entry into Ha Giang, your guide will assist you in obtaining one from the small office in the town. Once secured, your adventure continues with a series of breathtaking passes, winding over rolling mountains and through picturesque valleys. The journey promises stunning vistas of the surrounding landscapes.

A break for lunch awaits you in the charming mountain town of Tam Son. Post-lunch, venture through an impressive pine forest to explore a Hmong palace that belonged to the influential Vuong family. This historical palace, once used to store opium and weapons, provides a fascinating glimpse into the bygone era of Hmong royalty. Following Vietnam's independence in 1950, the palace was evacuated, and the descendants of this influential family now reside in France and Canada.

Continuing off the beaten path, you'll traverse winding roads, discovering hidden black H'mong villages nestled behind stone walls. Your day concludes as you arrive in Dong Van at approximately 18:00. On this Sunday morning, following a hearty breakfast, you have the opportunity to explore the weekly Dong Van Market. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as you meet local people and peruse a fascinating array of handmade goods and specialty produce.

Afterwards, ascend above the town to Pu Lo, a well-preserved French fortress built in 1890. Explore the fortress and take in the incredible panoramic views it offers of the surrounding landscapes. Following this captivating visit, hit the road to embark on one of Vietnam's most spectacular routes. The Ma Pi Leng Pass, situated at an elevation of 2000 meters, hugs the contours of the undulating mountains, providing unparalleled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields that adorn the mountainsides. Zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley for a delightful lunch.

Later in the day, return to Ha Giang, where you will spend the night in a homestay, rounding off an adventurous day with the warm hospitality of the local community.

A stop for lunch at a local restaurant allows you to savor the flavors of the region one last time. Expect to arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi at approximately 18:00, bringing an end to your memorable exploration of the Ha Giang region.

Today's itinerary includes a visit to Hoa Lu, the historic capital of Vietnam from 986 to 1010, featuring two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le. Our knowledgeable guide will share insights into the rich history of this area, providing fascinating stories about the kings and generals who lived a millennium ago. Gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's history dating back a thousand years and discover why Hoa Lu was chosen as the capital.

10:45 AM: Departing from Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, we'll board our bus and journey to Hang Mua. Expect a 20-30 minute climb to reach Hang Mua Peak, a challenge well worth the effort for the breathtaking panoramic views. Enjoy a 360-degree vista of the Tam Coc valley, limestone mountains, and the picturesque countryside.

Around 12:30 PM: Indulge in a Vietnamese cuisine lunch at a local restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in learning more about Vietnamese food.

1:00 PM: After lunch, embark on a leisurely sampan boat ride in Tam Coc, known as the "3 caves." Often referred to as the dry Halong Bay, Tam Coc boasts the beauty of limestone mountains and meandering rivers. The 1 hour and 45-minute boat trip, rowed by local experts, allows you to relax, take photos, and marvel at the stunning scenery. During the rice season, capture endless photo opportunities of nature and the locals working along the riverside.

3:00 PM: Explore Tam Coc village by cycling, stopping at points of interest to delve into Vietnamese traditional culture, architecture, daily life, and agricultural practices.

4:00 PM: After cycling, take the opportunity to swim or unwind before heading to Pu Luong.

Ride back to the local home, the designated car pick-up point, and be transferred back to Puluong Retreat for a delightful dinner.
